Description
you can play this campaign on versus,coop,survival...
this is a custom campaign based on the movie "lord of the rings the two towers"
in the first level of this custom campaign you must fight your way to the keep of helm's deep, and in the second level you must defend the keep.

I really love the map, that's why I keep coming to nag you every once in a while, but the ending is kinda cringe. What I suggest to fix it is to remove the slide show at the end completely, adding King Theoden's line "Victory! We have victory!" line when survivors hit the end trigger, and call it a day. It will feel much better, trust me. Also also the hotfix version that you sent me should be the official version in the workshop, as it fixes the specials in the keep problem.

i like the map. what i dont like is the infinite horde, but i do know it is a seige. i still like this

See? Much better already. Now specials will spawn at the bottom of the wall next to the entrance of the keep, right next to the stairs. Which is much better, but still problematic. Because now anyone can camp at that side of the map and kill special infected with ease until the door to the keep opens. Still an upgrade nonetheless.

Oh, about the spawn point, common infected generally don't spawn inside the keep, which is great, and specials will only spawn at the keep entrance (the one with the stairs) right at the top of the tunnel's exit. If possible, I believe simply adding invisible wall for the infected will solve the spawning inside problem, and the director will take care of the rest by spawning specials next to the wall, which is better than what it is now because I have to basically win a siege to start defending after the wall is breached and we are required to fall back. I hope that won't cause specials spawning in all over the keep, which is also possible and arguably worse, but for now at least, they only spawn there specifically, even when that place is directly looked at.

@Aynshtaynn thank you for your suggestion, when i created the map i asked a lot for help in the "Modding/Mapping help and tips discussions" about l4d director spawning, it Seems we can't fully control director spawning behavior, the director calculates the map and spawn specials on places near survivors when survivors can't see or aren't looking at the spawn locations, I tried turning the director off and spawn specials outside the fort manually, but the game mechanic calculates the distance and immediately kills the spawned specials because the game mechanic always kill the specials when they are far from the survivors. that's why when we play l4d sometimes the tank commit suicide, and we keep hearing the smoker explode.
maybe when i have time i try scripts methods to bypass the game mechanic and the director.

The Battle map drove me crazy. Not because it's hard, that's fine, I like it, but some of the spawns just don't make sense. First, zombies should never be able to spawn inside the keep except at the end where we ride out. It's a siege, not a civil war. I don't want to rush out because it's safer than inside with all the specials. That brings us to my second point.

Outside of the Deep should be a deathball, you shouldn't be able to just go out and survive. Moving the special spawn in the keep to outside should solve both problems, and make it harder to just chuck out molotovs into choke point for 5 minutes.

Also, there are no indicators that tells what to do. I had to stumble into the door handles to figure out I needed to close them to progress. Also the final door handle doesn't seem to work properly, I had a hard time closing the final door and almost lost the game along with my sanity there.

I really hope there's an update coming as I love it.
