Glowing Chests

Descrição
This simple mod causes chests to give off the same glowing particle effect as wands do, which might help you find them through the darkness or if they're buried behind something. It may make the game slightly easier as a result.

This mod overwrites the chest_random.xml and chest_super_random.xml files and will likely conflict with any other mods which do the same thing. It was originally created by "Dungeon♂Master", I take no credit and am merely uploading it so more people can see it.

Check out the similar mod Glowing Hearts to get the same effect from health upgrades.

Pushed an update to make the chest particles more solid golden (also one for hearts).

Considering that the mod author replied to the previous comment on April 1st, it's hard to discern if it's serious or not.

But I CAN say that it would be incredibly funny if they did absolutely nothing from this point forward.

hey author! same what helios said below, i also modified the files for my playthrough so the chests glow in more of a golden aura, and hearts a shade of pink; hope this helps? https://i.imgur.com/09ZtqQP.png

Turns out its actually really easy to change the color of the glow, all that's needed is to change the values for
color.r/g/b in SpriteParticleEmitterComponent. With your permission I could do it, unless you'd rather update your mod yourself, whatever you like.

Possibly; I don't quite understand how color codes are giving the color it has now, it's just copied from wands. Might be possible to experiment with it a bit, and it's an interesting idea.

Can you make the glow on chests a more golden-yellow colour, and the glow on hearts more pink-red in colour? That would be awesome if so.

we have chests and hearts, is there one for spell refresh pickups to round out the set?
