SS Great Western 1838 (sinkable)

The S.S Great Western was a British paddle steamer, designed and constructed by the famous Isambard Kingdom Brunel. She was Brunels first-ever ship, as well as being the first purpose-built ship for crossing the Atlantic. The Great Western was launched in July of 1837 and took her maiden voyage in March of 1838. Her maiden voyage across the Atlantic was one of excitement, as she raced the S.S Sirius to New York. unfortunately, the Great Western was beaten by the Sirius's four-day head start. Despite the Great Western being Brunels only profitable ship, she was a major influence onto other shipping lines, with Cunards S.S Britannia being a practical sized down version of her. The Great western would continue her career, being sold and refitted to the Royal Mail Steam Packet Company in 1847. Nearing the end of her career the Great Western served as a troopship in the Crimean war, finally being scrapped in 1856.

Startup:
Enter the ship
Follow the Yellow arrows to the engine room
Walk down to the two Boilers
Press both buttons on each boiler titled “light boilers”
Go to the bridge helm and use W to move forward

Scuttling:
Go to the helm
Unlock the button on the mast titled “scuttle”

Distress system:
Press button titled “distress system” behind the bridge helm (sends out a signal for rescuers to pick up)
2 flares either side of the ship also help send out distress signals
