Run-of-river hydroelectricity

Beskrivelse
Run-of-river hydroelectricity (ROR) or run-of-the-river hydroelectricity is a type of hydroelectric generation plant whereby little or no water storage is provided. Run-of-the-river power plants may have no water storage at all or a limited amount of storage, in which case the storage reservoir is referred to as pondage. A plant without pondage is subject to seasonal river flows, thus the plant will operate as an intermittent energy source. Conventional hydro uses reservoirs, which regulate water for flood control, dispatchable Electrical power, and the provision of fresh water for agriculture.

This powerplant produce 160MW/d.

It needs 20 workers.

Need only water access!

Its based on the Run-of-the-river hydroelectricity plant in Zurich: https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kraftwerk_Letten

It works, though it's really frustrating to try to find a place for it.

I cant find the building. Where do i need to navigate to find it in the menu? Thanks :)

Produces no electricity ! Doesn't seem to work anymore

@Araxiel useful info thanks! changed mine as well

How do you place this building? I tried with landscape editor, it's always either too much on land or too much in water.

Really nice building, but massively underpowered (pun intended) if you ask me.
I decided to more than double it's power output. If someone else wants to do that with, simply go to
*\steamapps\workshop\content\784150\2186454765\water_eletric and in building.ini change line 19 $PRODUCTION eletric 8 to another value.

I changed the value to $PRODUCTION eletric 20 which puts it at 400 MWh, which is lower than the vanilla Solar Power Plant (which does 560MWh)

could you make a less productive version with only the old part, seems like it shouldn't be hard to make?

@crazzy_cat : I had same problem as you ; I uninstall all outgoing lines and reinstall everything, and it worked.

@Von Blankenburg, in-game hours are 60 per day, directly correlating to real time minutes. So don't divide it by 24, as that is a real day and not the in-game day.

@Kabuki That's not what I mean. A given nominal capacity of 160 MWh/day (as it says in the tooltip) should – from a general physical perspective – calculate down as follows: 160 MWh/24 h = 6.67 MWh/h = 6.67 MW. This means that the plant should be able to output 6.67 MW. But it can only output 2.4 MW. But why?
