Kriegspiel Chess

Kriegspiel is a 19th-Century German variant of chess that requires 3 people.

What makes Kriegspiel unique is you can't see your opponent's pieces. 2 people play each other using standard chess rules while a 3rd person officiates. This umpire/moderator is the only one who can see both boards. They tell the players if the players' moves are legal or illegal.



In a non-virtual environment, this game is played with the 2 players sitting back to back. TTS affords an easier view for the moderator.
