[Replaced] Thrall Fashion (Gear Skinning For Thralls) v1.2.4

This mod still works, but will no longer be updated. Unfortunately, this mod’s time has come to an end. It’s simply too inefficient to maintain and use, the one replacing it is significantly better; being easier to use and including DLC and armor mods as skins in one mod. You can use both simultaneously, but should phase this one out and start using pieces from the newer one. Link

As far as I know there is no way to change the appearance of gears on thralls while having a functionally different set, that remains after server restarts. This mod allows certain sets (chosen by me or popular demand) to be skinned to other, more visually appealing sets (also chosen by me or popular demand). This is meant for thralls specifically since gear skinning for the player already exists through other mods. So far, the most practical sets for thralls have been added, with many skinning options, and there are plans for a gear mods workaround.

The list below details which functional sets (as regular, exceptional and flawless) have been changed visually. Additional skinning options for helmets are listed below, separately. All helmet skins have been given the sandstorm mask feature - exceptions exist*.

* For gear lower than Level 30, there are two options, one with the sandstorm mask buff and one without. Read the item description to craft the correct one.

This section has been made into a separate mod due to the potential balance breaking stat changes that must be made by the workaround. This allows for the current mod to be used on public servers without having to worry about overpowered thralls because of some troll?s misuse.

1. Grab the feats (cost is 0) from the Armor tab.
   
2. Craft the desired bench as you would any other crafting station.
   
3. Interact with the bench and use as ingredients the original set you want to skin.
   
4. If the abbreviations are confusing just follow the simple steps below:
   
   1. Craft one of the functional sets under the heading Sets That Can Be Skinned in the appropriate (default) armorer?s bench. If the set is above level 30, also craft the sandstorm mask.
      
   2. Then, go to the respective skinning bench, ex. Medium Set -> Medium Skinning Bench.
      
   3. Now search for the desired skin by its abbreviation, found under the headings Current Skin Options for Sets and Additional Skin Options for Helmets and craft your thrall?s new look.

1. Is this usable on player characters as well?
   
   • Yes, you can use the skinned gear on yourself, nothing is stopping you.
2. I can?t find my desired skinning recipe inside the bench! What do I do? ):
   
   • Type the abbreviation of the gear in the bench to find the whole set.
3. Abbreviations you say? What are these abbreviations, you silly Modder!?
   
   • They are the 1st letters of each word in the set's name (ignoring any prefixes).
     
     Examples: LR = Lemuria Royal Set VH = Vanir Heavy Set VS = Vanir Settler Set ZD = Zamorian Dancer Set
4. How do I get access to the skinning bench and feats required for this mod?
   
   • Type ?Skinning? within the search box for feats, you should find all of them. Alternatively, you can just go to the Armor tab and scroll.
5. I can?t see the newly added recipes, what do I do?
   
   • You?re most likely using the old skinning feats/recipes, which were made hidden (unless you already had them) because I made changes to the ID system. Simply grab the new feats in the Armor Tab, sandwiched between Armorer and Exile Epics and everything will work as expected.
6. Why are there so many benches?
   
   • The list of recipes per bench is over 300 due to the large number of skinning options, so this is currently the best solution for organization.
7. Why are the benches so small?
   
   • Due to the need for multiple benches, I made them smaller so they take up less space. Tip: You can place these smaller benches on tables and such, to make a dressing room.
8. Why are some of my items blank?
   
   • There are 2 possible reasons:
     
     1. You are using items that were part of the beta list which has been removed in the latest update (v1.2.0). Simply use an item from the active list to replace your missing item.
        
     2. You may have used an item that has been moved to the extended mod to maintain game balance. Add that mod to your mod list (after this mod) and the items should come back.
        
        • In transferring the items, some items? IDs were changed, so you will have to recreate those items.
   • Sorry for any inconvenience caused.

There should be no issues as all the items are added on, and none of the original files are modified.
