USS Voyager

An Intrepid-Class ship in service of Starfleet. Voyager was among the first of her class and was promptly assigned to hunt down Maquis ships in the Badlands to detain key-Maquis personnel. The ship was involuntarily moved by an entity known as the "Caretaker" to the far reaches of the Delta Quadrant from which the ship had to embark on a daunting and long journey home.

The Intrepid doesn't possess same firepower of some of the more tactical vessels like the Defiant but strikes a near-perfect balance in terms of firepower, speed, range and scientific capabilities.
