I'm not very interested in RimWorld anymore so from 2025/05/17 I'm no longer maintaining my mods. Feel free to take adopt and continue the work here, just be sure to include a list of maintainers and authors in your readme/about.

This is a continuation of my mod Little Storage. This new version exists to fix a very basic mistake in the previous version which would break saves if updated in-place. This will be the only version receiving updates from this point forward.

Adds single-tile versions of the Food Basket, Hamper and Tray Rack from LWM's Deep Storage as well as the vanilla shelf.

Each storage stores the same thing that the two-tile version does and has exactly half the storage of the two-tile version. This means that the single-tile version stores the same number of stacks per cell but only covers one cell, therefore half. The single-tile variants also cost approximately half the resources. Wherever a max mass applies to the two-tile version the single-tile version can hold half the max mass.

Patches from the Deep Storage mod apply automatically to the single-tile storages so no need for custom patches.

Small Deep Refrigerator (If RimFridge is installed)


!!! UPDATING AN EXISTING SAVE !!!
This re-release exists because I had to make a change to a very base-level piece of the mod. This mod is NOT backward compatible with the previous version. The only safe way to update to this version is to follow these instructions:

1) Load your save and remove all existing "Little Storage" storages from the map.
2) Save your game, remember to make a backup before you save.
3) Subscribe to this updated version and unsub the old version.
4) Load up your save and enjoy the game.

I've been meaning to ask for some time, but... -snip-

EDIT - Turns out the Deep Shelf was probably the Big Shelf. Anyhoo, I have now updated this mod to 1.6 since #6 stated they are no longer maintaining their mods. That said, the new version can be found as the link below, and in addition to the single Food Basket, Meal Rack and Fabric Hamper mentioned here, there is now a single Big Shelf, Very Big Shelf, Hayloft, Medicine Cabinet and Clothing Rack.

The Deep Shelf has been repurposed into a Morgue Shelf, since it was a duplicate of the Big Shelf. This now holds upto 2 corpses for whatever reason you need to keep them. Corpses are hidden from view while in the shelf.

I removed the patch that added that in the 1.5 update because "Rimfridge with shelves" already has "shelves" so I didn't feel it was needed since it's balanced better for vanilla storage settings. This is partially because I'm going to eventually decouple the mod from LWM's Deep Storage and just use the vanilla shelf system in the future since right now the owner of Deep Storage is not able to be active in the modding scene and I always want to reduce the number of dependencies wherever possible.

Thank you for the update! Just so you know, it does not seem to be detecting the mod "[1.5; 1.4] RimFridge: Now with Shelves!".

This just means we cant get to the small deep refrigerator. It's not game breaking by any means, but if you have time to look at it, that would be fantastic!
