How to Run Grand Theft Auto IV: The Complete Edition in Vulkan instead of Directx 9 G

You can too run Gta 4 in Vulkan mode instead of the dated dx 9.
Expect better game performance, stability, more stable framerates.
Vulkan runs good on AMD and NVidia gpus.

Steps to take to enable:
Go to https://github.com/doitsujin/dxvk/releases
Currently 1.7 version is the latest (works)
where it says
Assets 3
dxvk-1.7.tar.gz --> download this

Unpack with 7zip or winrar

go into x32 folder of unpacked files

6 dll files are inside
copy these to the game's folder.

You're done. GTa 4 now starts in vulkan mode.

Works for me, GTA4 CE Latest Version, i got 70FPS on AMD Ryzen 3 PRO 4350G with 16GB RAM.
I only copy dxgi.dll and d3d9.dll

maybe depends which version of files they copy? I don't know what they do wrong.

It work just fine for me. I guess if this does not work for you people it means you did something wrong or you all messed up.

to remove this You don't have to do much, only remove the files you copied before.

After applying this i have now lost the in game support for the xbox controller and can only use keyboard :(

Doesn't not work for me. I have two R9 290X in crossfire but Xfire is not supported and with a single R9 290X, I have 30-40fps instead 80fps before.
