Introduction

This guide will help you BOOST your in-game CS2 FPS by following these simple tips and tricks. Increasing your CS2 FPS is important as this will make gameplay and aim smoother resulting in a better overall gaming experience.
From using this guide I was able to BOOST my CS2 in-game FPS from 30 FPS to 1000+ FPS.

General FPS Guide:
30 FPS - Unplayable, very laggy gameplay.
60 FPS - Playable, but still laggy gameplay.
120 FPS - Smooth gameplay.
144 FPS - Very Smooth gameplay.
240 FPS - ULTRA SMOOTH GAMEPLAY.
1000+ FPS - ASK ELON MUSK HOW SMOOTH THIS IS (OR SIMPLY FOLLOW THIS GUIDE!)

Updating your Graphics Driver

Updating your Graphics Driver can help boost your FPS and in most cases, if you haven't updated recently, can make a huge difference in performance.

For nVidia (GeForce/RTX) Graphics Cards:
Official nVidia GeForce/RTX Drivers Webpage[www.nvidia.com]
If you don't know which model nVidia Graphics Card you have select 'AUTOMATIC DRIVER UPDATES'.


If you do know which model nVidia Graphics Card you have select 'MANUAL DRIVER SEARCH and select your GPU model.


For AMD Radeon Graphics Cards:
Official AMD Radeon Drivers Webpage[www.amd.com]

If you don't know which model AMD Graphics Card you have select 'DOWNLOAD NOW' under Auto-Detect.


If you do know which model AMD Graphics Card you have select it from the product list and click 'SUBMIT'.

Commands

Below is a list of useful Commands to know. We'll be using the BEST commands in our Optimal Launch Options which will BOOST YOUR CS2 FPS!

-novid - Turns off game's intro

-console - Opens console after the game starts

-safe - Launches game in safe mode (turns off sounds and video settings)

-nosound - turns off sounds in the game

-tickrate 128(deffault: 64(mm tickrate)) - it's FaceIt's tickrate, you can use it to learns smokes and flashes on 128 tickrate. Works only in your local server.
+cmdrate 128 - changes cmdrate that you can see in netgraph(net_graph 1 in in-game console)
+updaterate 128 - changes updaterate that you can see in netgraph

-insecure - turns off VAC secure, after turning off you won't be able to join servers with VAC secure

+exec <name of your cfg>.cfg - o set up your config automatically

-noforcemparms - To use window's mouse settings
-noforcemaccel - To use window's mouse acceleration settings
-noforcemspd - To use window's mouse sped settings

-threads X - (where X = number of threads you want to use in CS2)

-refresh X - (where X = your monitor's refresh rate in Hz)

+rate - set internet connection rate

0.5 Mbps > rate 62500
1.0 Mbps > rate 125000
1.5 Mbps > rate 187500
1.57 Mbps > rate 196608 (default)
2.0 Mbps > rate 250000
2.5 Mbps > rate 312500
3.0 Mbps > rate 375000
3.5 Mbps > rate 437500
4.0 Mbps > rate 500000
4.5 Mbps > rate 562500
5.0 Mbps > rate 625000
5.5 Mbps > rate 687500
6.0 Mbps > rate 750000
6.2 Mbps > rate 786432

Check your internet connection rate at https://www.speedtest.net/
At the end of the test divide the number by 8 since 1 Mbps == 0.125 MB/s

-high - To make cs high priority
-low - To make cs low priority

-d3d9ex - Reduces CPU usage. It won't give you +fps, but with this you can alt+tab faster
-disable_d3d9ex - to disable setting above

-autoconfig - To backup default video settings

-w - Width, for example -w 1920
-h - Height, for example -h 1080

-full - Launch game in full screen mode
-window - Launch game in window mode
-nobrder - Launch game in window mode without borders

-nojoy - Turns off joystick support

-noipx - Turns off IPX/SPX protocol

-noip - To hide your IP. (you won't be able to join official and non-official servers)

-nosync - turns off vertical synchronization

-lv - turns off blood (FPS+)

+mat_queue_mode 2 - (FPS+)

+cl_showfps 1 - shows fps in game

+fps_max X - (where X should be your max FPS, Eg: +fps_max 999)

In-game Video Settings

Apply the following correct In-game Video Settings as shown below to FPS+ BOOST your CS2:

1. Open CS2

2. Go to Video Settings, Video Tab
Apply the follow settings


3. Go to Advanced Video Settings Tab
Apply the follow settings


3. Select Apply and restart your CS2

Setting Game Launch Options

What are Launch Options?

Launch Options can be used to change game settings before running the game. Launch Options allow the user to supercede internal settings of the game. This is an effective means to set commands that enable BOOSTED FPS+ in CS2.

How to set Launch Options?

1. Right-click on CS2 under the Library in Steam and select Properties.
2. Under the General tab click the SET LAUNCH OPTIONS button.
3. Enter the launch options you wish to apply (be sure to separate each code with a space) and click OK.
4. Close the game's Properties window and launch CS2.

This guide helps you boost your FPS, which is still going to be dependent on your PC hardware configuration. After following the guide and completing the optimizations, if you're still not happy with your boosted FPS then at that point you're limited by your hardware and should consider upgrading.
