General Tips
  • Re-bind "switch weapon" from Q to Left Shift to make speedy cursor movement easier.
  • Absorbing insects gives you blue points, absorbing enemies, breakable rocks and enemy shots gives you red points, and absorbing dropped items gives you green points
  • You need to fill the bar on the left before the timer runs out to clear a level, but for the different evolutions you just need the right colour in majority. (34% or higher) Don't try to fill it 100% one colour or you'll run out of time.
  • When the bar is full, you can still pick up colours to push out the other two and increase one as long as the timer's not empty.
  • Mashing the shot button will fire faster, good for breaking the flashing rocks and bigger enemies.
  • Destroying enemies and insects will often drop items worth green points, so if you need green get blasting.
  • You can get most green point items from breaking open the plant pods. They also hold time increases.
  • At the start of the second level, immediately head south and blast the plant pods to get time.
  • Enemies in the third level are worth 1 point to absorb; if you want mostly red you need to absorb shots instead.
  • Luring the small purple robots into the blue machines will cause them to spit out a ton of flying bugs, giving you a huge amount of red points if you mash absorb.
Farming Spots
Generally it's easy to clear all three levels with mostly green, hard to clear level three with mostly red, and hard to clear with mostly blue on all three levels, so this is mostly tips for farming red and blue.

Green L1:

Shoot the plant pods throughout the level and you'll easily have majority green. Absorb some enemies and insects to pad out the bar, and if you need more green somehow then shoot them instead.

Red L1:

Absorb all the enemies you see and especially the flying green container halfway through the level. When you get to the top screen, wait for the purple robot to walk toward the blue machine and absorb all the bugs it sprays out at you from up close; they're red points.

Blue L1:

Get roughly 20% red and green to fill the bar up, while carefully looking for the little insects along the edges of the screens as you go. On the screen with the spinny enemies, one beetle respawns whenever you leave and re-enter so abuse this if you need more blue points. (See screenshot below)

Green L2:

Shoot plant pods, shoot rocks, shoot other stuff, absorb all the items. Shouldn't be a problem.

Red L2:

You'll get a lot of points absorbing the flying enemies that go past on the screen upwards from the start. There's also a point near the end where five crystal turrets spam a lot of shots; just stand near the centre one and hit spacebar while drinking some tea.

Blue L2:

Actually pretty difficult if you don't know about the dirty hidden big beetle near the beginning. (See screenshot below) Again, pad the bar about 30-40% other colours and be careful not to shoot any bugs. There's one respawning beetle on the long vertical screen, halfway on the left below where the worms are.

Green L3:

Same as before, but if you get to the top of the level you'll find a robot that spits out two small green items every several seconds you can absorb. If you don't break the plant pods in there you can position to just hit absorb and get points for no effort.

Red L3:

Very hard without knowing the trick because enemies are worth 1 point. Take your time progressing and you'll notice destroyable cracked stone walls near purple robots and blue machines. A big bonus is just on the screen to the right of start; absorb all the gold machines, destroy the plant pods in the way, and you should be able to easily lure the purple robots to the blue machines which will spit out tons of red points for you! :D

Blue L3:

No respawning beetles that I could see, so you have to be very careful not to blast any bugs by accident. Remember to check the beetle sumo screen carefully; there's a good four beetles hidden in the brush around it. And no, you can't absorb the green dragonfly as far as I can tell. There's also a big beetle partly hidden on the right side in the last screen with the item-spitting robot.
Evolution Paths
This is a combination of screenshots I took and merged to show you easily what paths you need to take with the colours to unlock the different Kannas. It'll show you what's needed in the gallery for each new form when you reach the previous one, but this might save you some replaying if you just want to get the cute art faster.

Note that Tier 3 has a few different paths coming from Tier 2, and my limited MS Paint skills aren't enough to edit that so they'll each be in their own screenshots. >.>

Tiers 1-2:

Tier 3:

Note: For the Kanna head path you need to find and absorb all three Kannas from each level; they're always hidden in plant pods and usually at or near the end of the level.
