introduction

Welcome to the half life alyx jeff npc mod which is a mod that add recreated version of jeff from the game half life alyx however this is just a recreation and I haven't played half life alyx yet so if you notice something about jeff that is out of place please feel free to tell me but as far as I know this is very accurate to the real jeff excluding the particles and animations which I can't change so if you ever wanted jeff to be in gmod after playing half life alyx this is the mod for you.

commands and convars

  • aijeffoof_getvarinfo [parameter A] : this command can get the information of jeff's brain related to the parameter you inserted or if you leave the parameter part blank it will get all of the information in jeffs brain.

  • aijeffoof_setvarinfo [parameter A] [parameter B]: this would allow you to modify the information in jeffs brain.

  • aijeffoof_autogenaratenavmeshes: this would allow you to enable or disable jeffs ability to auto generate navmeshs up on "jeffs navmesh generator interface" opening

  • aijeffoof_health: this would allow you to change jeffs health.

  • aijeffoof_walkspeed: this would allow change you to jeffs walking speed.

  • aijeffoof_minrunspeed: this would allow change you to jeffs running speed.

  • aijeffoof_maxrunspeed: this would allow change you to jeffs running speed.

  • aijeffoof_artificalsounds: turn off jeffs ability to hear sound like running or jumping.

facts about jeff ( the gmod version )

Jeff is technically a very simple nextbot when it comes to movement so he dose need a navmesh in order to function but if you ever end up spawning jeff on a map that has no navmesh then jeff should end up opening an interface called "jeffs navmesh generator interface" however this is only if you are an admin but from there you could generate navmesh for any map and as a result jeff could work on any map.

He can not hear npc talking noises and I think this because those noises are't played via the normal means.

Jeff can navigate environments like mazes like he has been there for some years.

He is immune to non explosive projectiles and for some reason I can't fix that.

hey, love it but maybe think about making an animation sometime in the future? we need more HL:A npcs like the electric zombie, zombie worker and so on.
