I tested this in 1.4 with Biotech and it seems like it might cause a trade bug.

If you trade with 0 silver being exchanged (goods for goods) it worked fine, but when you would give the NPC silver it would bug the trade, causing either only some of the items to be traded or none of the trade to go through at all.

I would not have thought it was this mod, but when I disabled it and reloaded the problem was no longer repeatable. Again, not 100% sure its this mod, but after disabling it the problem was gone.

If the purpose of this mod is to change Silver metal into something more realistic for the purpose of immersion... then why not also change the Beauty value?

Does it make any sense at all that pure Silver is considered "ugly" by colonists, with a value of −4?
