XP for champions lvl 0 - 50

A general overview of the XP required to reach level 50 with any character as well as an idea of XP scaling.

Overview

In-game each character begins at level 0 and requires 20,000 XP to level up to the next, each time a character levels up the XP requirement goes up by 20,000 so knowing this we can work out the XP all-in-all to get to each level.

Basics of leveling
From level 0 - 10 you'll find zipping through levels relatively quick.depending on both your proficiency with said character as well as your team composition / xp boosts. This means if you have the time, patience, and skill you can unlock all the talents relatively quick.

So why would you bother with levelling?
Well it can unlock being able to buy the cosmic and obsidian skins for your character, the title of the character being equippable (e.g rage of the abyss), and finally the golden weapon / skin. Keep in mind not all characters have a full golden skin or obsidian / cosmic skin (primarily the newer characters often don't the obsidian / cosmic skins) so check out what there is per level available.

Methods to level
Don't let this overwhelm you, with consistent play and an elongated time you'll level up in a pinch! Roughly speaking if you were to do purely bot death matches for an hour a day (roughly 15 matches) you'll get from level 1 to 50 in a bit over 7 weeks! Albeit I don't personally find this ideal as I like to switch my play a lot so i'd recommend going in for the sense of fun over accomplishment otherwise you'll find it hard to appreciate the game for what it is when you've got what you want out of it. A rough idea of how long it'll take is around 566 matches with the character based on the average xp you gain from matches its more or less around this amount.

Its also worth noting that if you have the battlepass you get a bonus to XP gained. You can easily get the battlepass for free if you keep up the daily logins to earn the crystals for it.

Of course you can level a character beyond 50 and the level's scale up to 999 if you're hellbent on going for that you're stronger then most.

Well you use to be able to buy level 999 so that is mainly why you see them. You have to be reasonable, there is no way the 1% that stays around for that long and the 1% that are determined to only play a specific character commonly can be found. That would likely be less than a 1% who earnestly got to 999 if any.

Don't ever rush to get to lv 50. tried it and it ist a pain in the ass. Not long ago there was a double/triple xp weekend boost which gave me around 400-550xp per game and i got 10mil xp in a single weekend. also buying the battlepass will help you achieving lv50 much quicker than you think.

if getting the gold skin means that much to you and you like the character a lot it'll be worth it, personally I think playing a variety of characters improves both how you interact with said character and gives you a better perspective on how to switch up your play. Either way give it some time and you'll feel out what you think is worth it :)
