Guide on how to tame and use the Gigantopithecus.

Taming Bigfoot

The easiest and most effective way to tame a Gigantopithecus is with regular kibble and a trap. Regular kibble is made in the cooking pot and requires wood to cook it the recipe is one medium egg one cooked meat jerky two longrass two savoroot five fiber and a full water skin let it cook for thirty seconds. The best trap for the Gigantopithecus is one foundation (Wood or stone) four door frames around it and a ramp leading into it have thatch door frame across from the ramp (You'll know why in a minute) Once you have that trap built near the Ape you would like to tame run up to the Bigfoot and punch it .It will then chase you and you run up the ramp and through the door frame the thatch door frame will keep the Ape from jumping over. Then run to a flyer or fast mount and run away until you cannot see the Gorilla that will reset it aggression then fly back to the trap keep in mind if you used wood the Gigantopithecus can break it so you have to reset it aggression faster stone will be perfect. Then put regular kibble or mejoberrys in your slot 0 and feed the Gigantopithecus until tamed. Gigantopithecuses spawn in the redwoods and I recommend getting them to follow you to the
beach around the redwoods it is safer and a carnivore will be less likely to mess up your taming.

Using your new Monkey

The Gigantopithecus can gather fiber very fast also they get a lot of thatch and more berries then the trike. They are powerful creatures more powerful then even the Allosaurus you can put helmets on the them to reduce the damage they take. The Gigantopithecus can throw you great distances and hight witch can be used to get in peoples bases. They can also carry small creatures on their shoulder by holding down c. I personaly like to put the Mesopithecus (Monkey) on their shoulder. The giant ape is very good for taking down large stuff like rexs you simply run in a circle around the rex and keep hitting it from behind till it dies it might hit you a couple times but with an ascendant helmet a max lvl rex can do like 3 damage per hit if it can hit you.
