Due to prefabs used to set default values to in-game items, many cosmetics over the years have been added to the game use default backpack sounds/itemtypes. If you have wondered why a shirt item from a recent update makes a loud thud noise when selecting it, rather than a cloth noise similar older cosmetics use, this is why.

Using cosmetics from 2009-2012 as reference, I have painstakingly gone through each cosmetic item across the years to find better fitting sound/itemtype combinations for cosmetics, while also enforcing consistency and uniformity across several types.

This collection serves as a hub for all the cosmetics whose item_schema entries I have updated, which are categorized by their release year.

Each workshop submission has a modified items_game.txt that contains ONLY for cosmetics within the specified time period. There is also a readme with a changelog and misc notes, as well as a quick reference sheet to use when implementing the changes.

As items_game.txt is now protected from being modified, you are unable to run the changes on your client for your own curiosity. To get an idea of the changes, I have appended an example video of some of them which you can expect if implemented into the game.
