Seeking Perfection "previous version" - Unit Upgrade for High Elves

Hello everyone,

this mod integrates the unit upgrade mechanism of the greenskins for the high elves.

In order to avoid that the high elves become OP, every improvement also brings a small deterioration. This should make it feel more like a postponement than a major upgrade. However, this will allow you to change your armies further in the direction you would like to play.

Another special feature is that this mod uses the resource "Ithilmar", which you can also find in "High Elves crafting - Anvil of Vaul 2" by SorcererSupreme.

This means that both mods share the same resource pool and work together. My mod brings the resource itself into the game and therefore doesn't need the "High Elves Crafting" mod, but I would recommend it for a more varied gameplay:

This mod is not yet as final as I imagine it to be and I will add some more things and refine existing things in the near future. So your suggestions are very welcome if you have any ideas.

This mod was strongly inspired by "Unit Upgrade for Dark Elves" by Oil, whose mod I recommend if you want the same for the Dark Elves:

Q: How do you get Ithilmar without "High Elves crafting - Anvil of Vaul 2"?

A: With this mod you get Ithilmar after every battle and as well as by implemented Lord-Skills.

Q: Is this mod compatible...?

A: Yes! It should be compatible with any other mod (excluded Sons of Asuryan for now) and save-game-compatible.

Q: Would you do a Version without deterioration?

A: I don't think so. I like to do mods that are as balanced as possible to avoid boredom.

Q: Would you make such a mod for other races too?

A: At the moment I will only continue to work on this mod. But take a look at my collection to find previously released upgrade mods:

Q: Would you do a Submod for X unit mod?

A: At the moment I am only planning a submod for SFO Grimhammer. But below in the discussion you will find a tutorial that allows even beginners to create a submod for it. If you have further questions, please ask them there.

- To provide a way to exchange Ithilmar for gold
- Refine previous upgrades and balance
- Adding new upgrades
- Test and try to fix compatibility problems with some other mods

Could someone port this over to WH3?
I'm willing to commission it if the price is right.

@RobbySin:
Perhaps in the distant future. I'm swamped with work and another project right now.

@FriskyCheeks:
I haven't tried it yet. But they actually get their upgrades from their equipment.

@Alex Godric:
It's damn hard to get any player's taste in these things. You can make 1000 versions for 1000 players. I don't think I'm going to make another version that is stronger, weaker or right in between the two - but I've been thinking about a kind of mod guide where I upload a raw file with instructions on how to do it yourself. Maybe this will be interesting for you.

@Millow:
Same as the answer for Alex Godric, except that this is the first time I hear that the upgrades are too weak. Felt that one in four said that it was too strong and the mod is not balanced.

@ Mafnmarsn:
No idea what the problem is. Maybe your game has problems with save games or that mods are always reinstalled.
