Ultrawide support

Modify the game to enable ultrawide and superwide resolutions.

Unpack the game exe

• Download the latest version of this tool[github.com]. You only need the main archive, not the source code.
  
• Unpack the archive with software like 7zip or PeaZip.
  
• Launch the tool through its .exe
  
• For the file to unpack, select DQB2_EU.exe (or one corresponding to your language) found in the main game folder.
  
• Click on Unpack File.
  
• If succeeded, remove or back up the original game exe, then rename the .unpacked file to match the original name (DQB2_EU.exe).
  
• Done! The game executable is ready for modification.

No longer necessary as of the April 28, 2021 game update!

Enable true support of your resolution

• Click on Download this file on this PCGW community page[community.pcgamingwiki.com].
  
• Unpack the archive and launch the tool.
  
• Target DQB2_EU.exe or the exe corresponding to your language.
  
• Click on Start. Patching done!
  
• In the game configuration tool,
  
  1920x1080 will correspond to 2560x1080
  2560x1440 will correspond to 3440x1440
  3840x2160 will correspond to 3840x1080
  2048x1152 will correspond to 5120x1440

Having issues?

Make sure your system is set to display all file name extensions[webhowto.org]. You may have ended up renaming the exe to exe.exe.

Numerical errors at launch mean you have not unpacked the executable as instructed in the first steps of this guide.

Cant get this to work with the gamepass version, The manage button vanishes as soon I right click the game, its only visible for a fraction of a second, tried running the patch as admin with no luck, still getting permission denied

Right-click the game in the Xbox app, select Manage, then "Enable" under Advanced management features. After the game is converted to the new format, you should be able to access the files. Then run the patcher as an administrator and patch.

any chance to get this to work for gamepass version? it simply says i don't have permission to access the exe unfortunately. tried to take ownership ect

It looks like the game executables were updated 8 days ago, eliminating the need for those steps.

Followed the steps in the 'Unpack the game exe' section and at the 5th bullet point (Click on Unpack File) Steamless says: Failed to unpack file. I tried pointing it at both DQB2.exe and DQB2_EU.exe and both result in the same error message.

Hi. It may be that you targeted the wrong exe or you failed to replace the original. Open Task Manager and check the DQB2 exe name in the Details tab. That is the one to patch.
