List of the game's Battle Symbols along with their effects and obtain requirements

What are Battle Symbols?

If you played Lobotomy Corporation, Battle Symbols are pretty much just Gifts: cosmetic items that boost your stats by a small amount.

Unlike Lobotomy Corporation though, instead of getting them randomly, you have to fulfill certain conditions in battle to unlock them.

Each floor has to reach a certain level before your librarians can equip Battle Symbols. Once you reach the required level, you can equip Battle Symbols from the tab next to the Combat Bookshelf.

It seems that unlocking Battle Symbols also unlocks its respective titles for use in librarian customization.

NOTE: It seems that some of the Battle Symbols are a bit buggy, with some being unobtainable despite fulfilling the conditions (notably Emma and Noah's symbols) and some being obtained despite not meeting the requirements. If you encounter any buggy symbols, you can submit a bug report and hope PM fixes them later on.

Unburdened Subordinate

Effect: 5% chance to boost Slash stagger damage by +1

Professional Hangover Helper

Acquire: Defeat Olga 1 times with the Book of Mika or Rain equipped.
Effect: 5% chance to boost Pierce stagger damage by +1

Urban Plague & Urban Nightmare

Imperfect Ego

Acquire: Survive through a complete Wedge Office reception.
Effect: HP +1

Unrelenting Veteran

Acquire: Complete an Urban Plague-level reception after activating the 'Unrelenting' passive of Oscar's Page with no other allies present.
Effect: HP +2

Tip: The most consistent (though time-consuming) way to do this is to fight the Kurokumo Clan til the second floor and kill everyone except Gin (he applies at most 2 stacks of bleed) and make sure he is low enough to be finished off with a strong card like Transpierce. Let him kill everyone in the first floor and have only the librarian with Oscar's page fight for the second floor. Let him activate the passive and finish him off.
There is a chance that you may get unlucky and have the passive activate when you're at 2 or 1 HP and you'll die of bleed next turn. If that happens, you can still kill Gin and the battle counts it as a win, however, you won't get the Battle Symbol.

Acquire: Win 10 clashes against Ranged Combat pages.

Acquire: During a single Act of an Urban Plague-level reception, inflict 20 or more Bleed to a single target.

Acquire: Defeat Emma and Noah while they're together.
Effect: 10% chance to boost attack damage by +1 while Noah's Page is attributed to this librarian

Acquire: During a single act of an Urban Nightmare-level reception, use Combat Pages that include dice boosted by the passive ability 'Grace of the Prescript' 3 times.

Acquire: Defeat 1 enemy using the Combat page "Castigation" in Star of the City-level receptions.
Effect: 4% chance to boost Pierce dice Power by +1 when in the "Blade Unlocked" state

Tip: I used Olga's Page with 3x Daring Decision, 3x Art of Rapid Steps and 3x Wait Up! to do this pretty quickly. In addition to being a pretty powerful deck, I was able to get this symbol in 2-3 battles.

Streets of Flavor Cook

Acquire: Inflict Bleed 3 times using combat pages from Pierre's Bistro
Effect: 5% chance to boost Slash attack damage by +1

Tip: The conditions for unlocking this is deceptively tricky. After some testing it seems that the only card that counts for this is Cooking Prep. You also have to inflict bleeding three times in the same encounter, and if you kill the opponent with the attack that was meant to cause bleeding, it doesn't count. You don't have to have Pierre's page equipped to get this symbol. If you're trying to get this symbol, I recommend putting 3x Cooking Prep on the character you want to unlock this on and only have that character attack on Yun's Office third episode. (The enemies there are weak enough to lose to Cooking Prep consistently, yet tanky enough to not get killed by it outright).

Urban Plague & Urban Nightmare

Sharpened Sword

Acquire: In Urban Plague-level receptions, defeat 1 enemy via Bleed.
Effect: 5% chance to boost Slash attack damage by +1

Rusted Chainlink

Acquire: Inflict 10 or more Bleed to self with Jikan's Key Page equipped.
Effect: 5% chance to boost attack damage by +1 while the character has 5+ Bleed

Exhausted Comrade

Acquire: Win 10 clashes using Evade dice while the character's HP is at 25% or lower.
Effect: 4% chance to boost Defensive dice Power by +2 while HP is at 25% or lower

Overloaded Charge

Acquire: During a single Act of an Urban Nightmare-level reception, become Immobilized via "Overcharge" 3 times.
Effect: Stagger Resist +2

Inconsolable Grief

Acquire: Survive through a complete reception of the Crying Children.
Effect: 2% chance to boost Ranged dice Power by +1

Acquire: With Xiao or Lowell's page equipped, complete 1 Star of the City-reception alongside a librarian who has the significant other's Key Page equipped. (Both characters must survive)
Effect: 6% chance to boost Stagger damage by +3 while equipping Xiao or Lowell's Key Page and another librarian on the same floor has the other's Key Page equipped.

Tip: Feather Shield and Searing Sword does NOT count towards this Symbol. Also I can't for the life of me get this symbol while equipping Salvador's page, but I was able to get it while using Dawn office cards on any other key page.

Acuminate Wedge

Acquire: Defeat Philip in both Dawn Office and Wedge Office receptions with Oscar's Page equipped.
Effect: Stagger Resist +2

Tip: You don't have to defeat Philip in the first floor of the Wedge Office battle, only the second.

Dark Cloud

Acquire: In an Urban Plague reception, use "Ink Over" with 7 pages in hand.
Effect: 5% chance to boost Slash attack damage by +1 when attacking a target with 10+ Bleed

Workshop Solidarity

Acquire: Get killed by Lulu 1 times in the second episode of Streetlight Office encounter.

Tip: Make sure to equip Key Pages which are weak to Blunt attacks as Lulu has a card that does 6 damage to herself every time it is used, so you can't let her hit you forever. Be sure to kill off Lulu's friends too so they don't accidentally steal her kill. It seems that dying to burn damage still counts for this symbol.

Zwei Honorary Member

Acquire: In an Urban Legend-level battle, have 3 or more Endurance at once.
Effect: 2% chance to boost Block dice Power by +1

Tip: Have everyone use Combat Preparation on the same turn. Easy.

Stray Dog

Acquire: Removed 5 dice in total using Stray Dog pages.
Effect: 2% chance to boost Blunt dice Power by +1

Tip: The requirements for this is a bit vague. I am pretty sure that the only card that can get you this symbol is Brawl. It has 4 dice on it, but it replaces them with dice from a random card in your hand. If its dice is replaced it with a card which has only 1 dice, it should count as removing 3 dice for this symbol.

Ashen One

Acquire: Use Scorched Girl's Abnormality or E.G.O pages 10 times.
Effect: While possessing Scorched Girl's Abnormality page, 5% chance to boost attack damage by +1.

Teddy's Owner

Acquire: Use Happy Teddy Bear's Abnormality or E.G.O pages 10 times.
Effect: While possessing Happy Teddy Bear's Abnormality page, 5% chance to boost attack damage by +1.

The Galaxy's Best Friend

Acquire: Clear an Urban Plague-level reception with a Combat shelf comprised entirely of pages that only have Pierce and Block dice.
Effect: 5% chance to boost Pierce attack damage by +1

Note: It appears that this symbol is currently bugged. By going into a battle which only allows 3 librarians, the fourth benched librarian will consistently get this symbol at the end of the fight.

A New Corpus

Acquire: Defeat Pameli 5 times with Pamela's Page equipped.
Effect: HP +1

The One Who Pierces

Acquire: Deal damage to Oscar while his Unrelenting passive is active.
Effect: 4% chance to boost Pierce dice power by +1

Tip: The best way to get this is to save your powerful, heavy hitting cards like Crack of Dawn or Transpierce and when Oscar is staggered, use them all on him and pray to RNGesus. I'm not sure if simply using Boundary of Death works as I have yet to get it to proc. As a side note, the fatal blow that triggers his passive does count for this symbol. (I hit him for a perfect 36 with Crack of Dawn while he was at 30 HP and it dealt 11 damage to him.) With update 1.0.1.8, Smoke was added to the game. Utilizing this update's key & combat pages makes this symbol a lot easier to obtain!

Gigigig Creak

Acquire: Lose clashes against the Combat page "Creak" 10 times.
Effect: 5% chance to boost Blunt attack damage by +2

Tip: The easiest way to do this is have the librarian with Meow's page use Observe, and next turn, have everyone use The Red Notes or Unforgettable Melody. There is a small chance that the librarian with Meow's page won't get the strength from these cards but you can just simply try again or even run the fight with just two librarians to eliminate this possibility entirely.

Boundary of Death

Acquire: Win a clash against "Boundary of Death" using "Boundary of Death."
Effect: 4% chance to boost damage and Stagger damage by +4 while HP is at 25% or lower

The tip for Twinkling Analyst can still work if modified a little. Instead of having one die, using two dies and using charge up and Quick attack at the same time. Thank you for all the hard work.

Thanks! I updated the conditions of the symbols you mentioned as well as others which I noticed has changed requirements. I also removed the Twinkling Analyst tip since it is super easy to get later on (every single one of my librarians has it lmao). It probably didn't work anymore since the all the buffs changed to activate 'next scene' instead of 'on use'.

This is amaizing and very usefull guide, but some things needs to be corrected. For example some symbols that required killing people 5-10 times or doing some task 5 times, now require 1. Yun's Office Representative(5->1), Unskilled Amateur(5->3), Pzzt Pzzt Buzz Buzzer(10->5), Is Fascinating?(10->5), Ferocious Gaze(5->3), ...? Bunny(10->5), Thrilling One Shot(3->1), Heterochromatic Pursuer(10->3). Maybe also something else. On another note: tip for Twinkling Analyst isnt working anymore.

Some of the Symbols has been buggy for awhile now, seems like their obtaining conditions been messed up. I got a Hook Office Symbol while trying to get the Emma & Noel symbols (both of them seem to be bugged atm)
Not much that can be done about it except submit a bug report and hope it's fixed.

I don't think Lifelong Companion drops correctly, I have killed Emma and Noah while they are together twice now (once when they had 4 SR left, once when they had 0) and it has not dropped.

I have gotten "Precious Family" consistantly by clearing the sweeper level, just keep killing the sweepers but only if they revive multiple times, also you have to have the corpse cleanup passive from one of the sweeper pages
