Cadia Fallen - night - 13x14 city assault map

Description
PREMISE:
Cadia has fallen, Abaddons remaining forces piling through the breached walls. Defenders must prevent attackers from reaching and holding the HQ building at the far end of the map.

SIZE:
The map is 13x14. However a lot of this is aesthetic and mainly for visuals. You could choose to either assault the gates, or start already through them! Its up to you to choose what you're scenario you're after...

BACKGROUND:
I'm a cg artist who works in London. I built this custom map over a 4 week period, during the covid19 quarantine.

I found myself fed up with maps that had low resolution textures and models and gave myself the task of building one with higher resolution.

The majority of the assets are custom modelled and textured by me. The vegetation and smaller assets such as rocks, sandbags, barrels and destroyed buildings are NOT mine and are taken from others. The pipes were textured by my friend Trooperdon19.

GRAPHICS SETTINGS:
This map contains ALOT of high resolution textures and models. My recommendation is to always leave shadows on "ultra" or "very high" since changing this lower will really negatively alter the look, since the lighting is very important on this map.. To increase fps, reduce "MSAA". You can also turn off Full size textures, but this will reduce them from 4k to only 2k.

Due to the size of this map, I would recommend starting within the walls. The majority of this map is intended to be for visual aesthetics.

Currently, I get between 35-70 fps depending on where you are on the map and how much you are viewing.
This uses no more than 4gb of ram and has been tested using a Nvidia Gtx 1070 graphics card.

BUGS:

Sometimes loading the map doesn't load all of the assets, this has happened on other maps and I believe it is an issue with the game. Please close the game down and reopen, the map should now load all assets without asking to import anything!

I have noticed that additively loading the map in to an already loaded table loses the lighting preset and also the background.

After additively loading the map to your table, please click on "Expand" on this map, under workshop, in game. Then simply click on the "background" and the "custom lighting". This will get the map looking correct lighting wise...

---Currently, boundry boxes for the fires in the windows of the houses keeps reappearing. To hide these, just right click on them, go to "Color" and under the Alpha (A) set it to 0. This will make it invisible

-- Currently, the corner laser cannon fortifications dont have an accurate collider setup. So you wont be able to set up men on these. However, all the walls work fine. I will update with a fix for this shortly...

What is this designed to be additively loaded into? I can't find anything that fits it.

Mods like this one convince me that playing wargames in this simulator is a far better experience than playing physically.

Dude, you have no idea how awesome it was to find this. By Holy Terra, you have done the Emperor proud! This will definitely be the new map I use for playing with friends. I am new to the Tabletop Simulator game, and so If you would not mind directing me to the Cadians you use in this. I have the Krieg boys there, but have not found such good Cadians.

@Spicerack Thankyou so much for your kind words! I will probably do another one at some point, I'm a little busy at work at the moment sadly. If you have any ideas let me know!

This is incredible! Hands down the best and most useful map package on the workshop. I'm putting together a 40k RPG campaign and one of the biggest struggles is finding and adapting maps to make realistic looking cities and imperial fortifications - and you've just made my life 100000000000 times easier! Would love to see more of your work (PLEASE make more), and an asset package for your specialised pieces would be amazing as well.

Thank you so much for all the time you put into this!

@Ns2 and @DrRobotnik thanks guys! There are no words for your kind words. It really means alot...If you want you can just save the different pieces and make something else using them if you want... I may at some point release a workshop package with them all in...

Love this! You should definitely upload your custom models separately, they are some of the best 40k terrain I've seen
