Penguin Boss

The penguin boss is the first boss you will fight in StarBound.
As soon as you can craft the distress beacon, you can fight it.


The penguin boss summons penguins in tanks, and penguin soldiers.
To craft the Distress Beacon you need

150 pixels
2 silver bars
10 copper bars 10 iron bars
100 wood planks

This is crafted at a Wooden Crafting Table.

Recomended items
A bow or Iron bow
A melee weapon with over 10dps
A gun obtained through a pirate ship
Bandages to heal you
Copper-Silver tier armor
Bombs to do LOTS of damage
A flat surface to fight the boss and avoid attacks
If you have a pirate ship, put the beacon atop it, and the pirates will kill the boss for you

After the boss is killed you obtain a Molten Core
The Molten Core is used to craft the MetalWork Station, which is required to get to sector B galaxys and Planet Systems.

Active Robot Boss

The Robot Boss is the 2nd boss in StarBound

The robot boss is summoned with an inactive robot, created from a metalwork station
To craft the inactive robot you will need...

A Brain Extractor-
10 steel
350 pixels

The Brain Extractor kills enemies and gets either Inferior Brains or Superior Brains
You need 1 Superior Brain to craft the robot, and the Superior Brains have a Rare drop rate
With the Superior brain you will craft an Artificial Brain

Artificial Brain-
Superior Brain
20 steel
400 pixels

The Artificial Brain is used to craft the Robot Head

Robot Head-
400 pixels
20 steel
artificial brain

Robot Chest-
400 pixels
30 steel

Robot Arms-
400 pixels
15 steel

Robot Legs-
400 pixels
15 steel

Finally you with all 4 of those items, you will craft an inactive robot at a metelwork station

Inactive Robot-
Robot Head
Robot Arms
Robot Chest
Robot legs
50 pixels
5 steel

You will place and press E on the Inactive Robot on a flat surface to summon the Robot Boss
The Suggested fight style is to place the robot in a box, and shoot his threw a 1 block hole with a bow or a gun


The boss will drop a processor which is used to craft a MK3 upgrade for your ship

Dragon Boss

The Dragon Boss is the 3rd boss in Starbound


To summon this boss you will need a decoy princess

Decoy Princess-
2000 pixels
20 fabric
100 wood planks
50 titanium

This boss drops a Dragon Bone upon death
The dragon bone is used to craft the MK4 upgrade which grants you access to the Delta Sector

Giant JellyFish Monster Boss

The JellyFish Boss is the 4th and currently last boss in starbound


The JellyFish Boss is Summoned with a Peanutbutter Trap

Peanutbutter trap-
700 pixels
40 durasteel

The trap is crafted at a creature capture station
DURASTEEL ARMOR IS A MUST

Apon killing this boss you obtain a Endomorphic jelly, which is used to craft the MK5 Aka Durasteel upgrade, to access 5-10th tier galaxys

I am aware that this is outdated and have no intention to update it as I have not played starbound in quite some time. I have another account I play on aswell, so I am just now seeing these requests.
Sorry, if I do play the game again I will be sure to come back and fix the guide accordingly.
