Water Textures Blue

Description
Here you can find terrain materials from the workshop entry Water Textures - Natural Water Surfaces from version 1.0.

Please note!
Please use the initial mod. In the meantime, the water textures there can be enabled and disabled using mod settings. Previously, this was not possible and the amount of terrain materials caused performance problems in certain cases.
The mods, which are divided by color, can simply be deactivated for savegames if Water Textures - Natural Water Surfaces is activated in return. The following mods are deprecated:

I am currently not planning any new content for these mods.

Features
  • 5 textures in the color Blue for the painting tools
  • the 5 textures differ in
    • smooth:
      • clean
      • impure
    • wavy (based on an original wave texture):
      • small scaling
      • medium scaling
      • scaling large

Usage tips
  • find water textures using the search function in the menu (e.g. search for color)
  • editing the terrain (see screenshot)

Technical
  • for the terrain materials 2 texture files are brought in total

Thank You! I play Cities Skylines, and was looking for a "water spawner". This is the closest thing I've found. Thanks again,

English (reduced):
For me it helps to lower the textures in the graphics settings (this is new to me). This means that less VRAM is used. However, this makes the textures look worse in the game.

@MKH1020 The compression is also very important:

albedo : BC1/DXT1
metal_gloss_ao_h: BC3/DXT5
normal : BC5/ATI2

If necessary, two channels should be swapped in the normal texture. But that can also depend on the editing program, I don't have much information on that, but it should only be visually relevant.

Hello...
I'm trying to create a texture brush myself (not water, but vanilla tiles), but the game crashes each time, do you know if there are any requierments for the texture file other than being a 4096x4096 .dds with mipmaps?

I did consult the people at [ irl=https://discord.gg/BEY8zEu ]the Discord,[/url] but we didn't find anything.

@rb58nl Thank you! I didn't invent them all by myself, because there is also an original texture that simulates water and in TF 1 there were already similar mods, but less options than now.

I think that your water paints are the best invention since the invention of bread...An absolute must have....Sad it was never available for TPF1..
