How to set a custom spray

How to make a spray to put on walls or floors of maps. For PC users only.

What is a spray?

Basically, A spray is an image or GIF that can be placed on a surface in a certain map. Tons of games use sprays like Counter Strike, Overwatch, Rainbow 6, and TF2.

How to add a spray

To add a spray, Open File Explorer, Find an image you wish to use in your files. Once found, Open file explorer again In your local disk drive (C:), Locate and open a file called 'Program files (x86)'. Then, find a folder called 'Steam'. In 'Steam', you should find a folder called 'Steamapps'. Once in there, click the 'common' folder. In 'common' find Team Fortress 2. Then click the file marked 'tf'. Then click 'Custom'. Lastly, move the image from your files into the 'Custom folder.

How to use a spray

Now, open Team Fortress 2. Click the settings option on the main menu. Click 'Multiplayer' in the Settings tabs. In the 'Spraypaint image' section, click 'Import spray'. It should open in the TF2 'custom' folder. If not, locate that folder in the in-game file selector. Once in the 'Custom' folder, select that image. Then, click 'Apply' in the bottom-right corner. Now you have selected and made a spray. Go into a game, And press your 'T' key whilst looking at a flat surface, your spray should appear. Note that they will only appear if you have them enabled in 'Advanced settings' but they are enabled by default. Also note that 'T' is the default spray key, if you have manually bound it to something else. press the key you have bound it to. Some images will not work, but basic Jpeg,and Png images will work completely normal, so you may have to find the right image. If you have done everything right, your spray will be fine. Enjoy your new Spray!

what do i do if i unbinded my T, but i wanted to bind T to the spray? i just want to know the command to bind the T.

its like the gmod spray instructions but with a different folder P.S. you are good at these keep it up! it may not be useful to me but it could help new players have more cool things because they now know how to get them so tl:dr you are doing well so make more please
