The 70% encumbrance reduction is fine.
It also has a far more ideal spawn rates now, the Black Scratch bar itself had just 1 on my last trip there.
Please tone down the spawn rates, so shops are not packed full of them.
In Black Scratch, there are ~40 in the Mechanical Shop and ~60 in the Bar on my first visit there in a new game. (Can partly blame the mess at the Bar, on a food mod that increases Bar inventory capacity, otherwise it is ~20 at Bars)
As mentioned in my previous post (from over a year ago), from my personal testing, setting the vendor value to 1 for the Bar, and 2 for the Mechanical Shop, works best in my experience. Setting it to 100 tells the game to spam the item in shops.
For backpack stats.
For Encumbrance effect, I would suggest 0.5, maybe even 0.4 (same as thief backpack)
I see the security spider is a dedicated combat unit. Turning it into a turbo charged pack mule of death, seems a tad bit... unbalanced. More so with, what I am hoping is a mistake, of the fact the backpack gives a bonus to combat speed and a hefty bonus to athletics, when worn by a scarrier security spider.
Waystation-Sewrm - "Item Count" Change from 40 to 2. That will make it so only 2 or backpacks would spawn per vendor.
ScarierSpiders Backpack - "Encumbrance effect" under "Inventory". Change from 1 to 0.1 to give the standard Animal pack weight reduction effect.
ScarierSpiders Backpack - "Stackable Bonus minimum" under "Inventory". Change from 5 to 1. "Stackable Bonus mult" under "Inventory". Change from 20 to 4. This will make ALL stackable items stack x4. (e.g. food would stack to 4 and books would stack to 16. Same as Trader backpack)
It made me dig out my old modding skills and google to poke around at things in the FCS to look for the cause of the issue.
I found what was likely going on and how item spawning in shops apparently works. (at least in the present version, not sure if it worked differently when this mod was first released)
If there is a chance this mod can still be updated, the fix is simple.
The Waystation shops (bar and mechanical shop) both have the spider backpack vendor value, oddly enough, at 100. Which is the same as the Bar vendor value. So the Bar is spawning backpacks as often as its trying to spawn Bar items. An item cap/limit likely being why more aren't spawning.
Reducing that 100 value a 'lot' helps. (For me, best results with 1 at Bar, and 2 at mechanical shop)
I also got some suggestions for the mod, if there is a chance for it to be updated more.
