A similar road was added to the base game in 1.16.1-f2

Gotta get that marketing in lol. Put yourself in other people shoes. There are likely tons of 4-lane roads with grass and we're not going to remember if we have that exact variant or if your features differ from what we know. Like my first reaction was "does NExst 2 have that already? Isn't NExt 2 vanilla-looking enough"?

So Vanilla+ name is great and I'm sure is enough to attract those looking for the style. But past that, in your descriptions, you gotta sell it! Don't tell us what it is; tell us why we need it! :steamhappy:

cool, makes sense. Yeah, these sort of things it's just important to have a sense of the overall intent, because just reading the basic info of what kind of road it is isn't going to do much for people, so I recommend you put that in your collection description and have a short form of it in each assets page. For example, I'm making some network asset packs that I hope to release soon, and I will clearly define them as expansions, extensions, ___ liberated etc, to give people a clear image how my pack fits in to what they already have.

So if you're making stuff that adds to, complements, or even seeks to provide an alternative to NExt 2 or some other packs or style of roads, I recommend you clearly express that.

Hi there, NExt is a great mod and one few I've been subscribed to for years.

Right now, 6 out of the 19 roads I've made are direct counterparts of NExt roads. These road aren't substantially different, though there are some small differences which you may or may not care about (e.g. bus bays, smooth transitions on asymmetric roads).

Perhaps the only significant advantage over NExt is that each new game update breaks mods, and for the past few updates there's been quite a wait until NExt was usable again (for Sunset Harbor it took almost 2 weeks). Assets aren't affected by updates.

As for other roads available on the workshop, I have spent some time browsing them before I decided to make my own - and while there are some great custom themed ones (UK-style, US-style and whatnot), I have not found any decent ones that would fit in with the vanilla style.

Hope that helps.

I'd hope to see a stronger argument for why your roads are different than many similar ones. Like, don't just say it's better; be specific and tell us what issues you're solving. :steamhappy: For example, some of these look like or are similar to NExt roads? How would they fit or complement that pack?
