Legend of the Five Rings (L5R 5e) RPG Table

Description
Legend of the Five Rings Roleplaying Game is a tabletop RPG set in the fantasy world of Rokugan. Loosely based in a feudal Japanese setting, players are thrust into a rich and unique setting where honor is stronger than steel. Tensions are high as covert political machinations mean the difference between peace and total war. With an abundance of complications tearing you in every direction, will you be able to keep your honor and find your place within the celestial order?

This mod simply serves to bring a palatable setting anyone can use to host their adventures through Rokugan.

Much of this mod has been stitched together from other sources. Credits go to:

Fantasy Flight Games – Legend of the Five Rings RPG is owned and created by Fantasy Flight Games. They have created a fantastic product. Much of the artwork and texts presented in the mod were created by FFG and is used without permission. I strongly encourage you to support their hard work. They certainly deserve it.

Tragic - This mod makes use of the Pack Up Bag tool created by Tragic. You may find his mod and video tutorials for the tool by following the link posted below. The ‘home’ board exists in the mod simply as a reminder to pack up the scripting area first, before placing a map.

I Fight Dragons – Much of the setting (walls, floors, lamps, etc.) come from I Fight Dragon's Legend of the Five Rings: LCG mod. If you enjoy the roleplaying game, I highly recommend taking a look at the LCG as well. His mod still serves as a great tool to learn the game, however much of the L5R community has switched over to jigoku.online.

CBass – Included in this mod are unique clan dice for the seven great clans as well as technique cards all designed by CBass. He has a number of other great resources available for the L5R RPG as well. I highly recommend checking out his pinned content on both reddit at r/rokugan and on the L5R Discord at https://discord.gg/enMEWTY

Special thanks to:

MrStump – MrStump has a lot of great resources for tabletop simulator. Most importantly a template for creating your own RPG character sheets. You can check it out by following the link posted below.

Also included in the mod are several sample encounter maps. Use the Pack Up Bag (PUG) in the GMs area to clean off the table by clicking “pack” then find the encounter you would like to use and click “place.” An empty bag is also included for you to copy paste and create your own encounters. Just make sure to clean off the table first. Clean off the table first. Clean off the t… okay I think I beat that horse enough.

Please let me know if there is anything else I can provide for you within this mod.

Full disclosure. RL has been abundantly hectic for the past few months. I still plan on getting new technique cards out as soon as I am able, but it will probably be a while still. Sorry for the delay!

@CaskStregnth it works, thanks! :D

Alright guys, the NPC templates have (hopefully) been repaired. Please let me know if they're still not working!

I still owe you guys technique cards for Celestial Realms (which I still don't have a physical copy of, thanks COVID...) and now Fields of Victory as well. Thanks for your patience! I'll try to have those up within the next month.

Ahhhh! Sorry, somehow in the craziness of COVID this fell out of my scan. I should have a fix to this in a week or so.

This mod is amazing! I have been using it with my friends and my only concern in the same @AkaiAssassin
Could you please fix the the npc templates deck?

Hey, awesome mod by the way loving all the great resources, I did notice a possible broken link with the NPC template's but everything else is fantastic.

One question is there a way to do combat on a grid using the map templates?

I really appreciate your response. I'm going to spend some time getting acclimated before I bother you with anymore questions.

It looks like Celestial Realms has started shipping to select individuals. As soon as I have access to the new techniques, i'll be sure to include technique cards for them!

@hotROmin there is a link in the description that provides a full tutorial on how to use the Pack Up Bag. Essentially, anything on the center of the table will be "packed up" with their relative position remembered so when you "unpack" the bag, it will throw everything back out exactly where it was before. In order to see them, you must change your color to black to put yourself as game master. As far as character sheets and initiative trackers, do you have any specific questions? They are state based, just like the character models, so mousing over them and typing a number will get you a relative state. Examples: Mousing over the Character sheet and pressing 2 will flip the sheet to page 2. Mousing over the initiative tile and pressing 2 will give you a red tile for enemy's. Hope this helps!

Does anyone have a youtube link to this being used in a game or a tour of it? I don't see the PUG pack and am new to both this workshop item and Tabletop Simulator in general and would love to see some examples of it in action. Interacting with the character sheets, initiative, messing with encounter maps, etc. I'm trying to figure out the best way to run my L5R 5e campaign virtually and this looks like it would fit the bill if I can get past the learning curve.
