Horizon's Gate Crafting Guide

This is a guide for the crafting system in Horizon's Gate. This is not a comprehensive list and is likely incomplete, but I'll try to keep it updated. This guide is meant to cover consumable items as well as general weapons and armor recipes.

Consumables and Materials

These recipes produce consumable items and crafting materials. Shears are not consumed when used for these recipes.

Shears + Ald Leaf = Bandage
Bandage + Wood Plank = Splint
Oil Can + Bottle = Bottle of Oil
Oil Can + Ald Leaf = Oily Rag
Oil Can + Bandage = Oily Rag
Bottle of Oil + Oily Rag = Fire Bomb
Red Spices + Dart = Itchy Dart
Revive Dust + Dart = Life Needle
Toxic Powder + Dart = Poison Dart
Ald Leaf Shirt + Shears = Ald Leaf
Spidesilk Shirt + Shears = Spidesilk
Gloam Shroom Chunk + Lantern = Blue Lantern
Shears + Hood = Bandage
Shears + Cloak = Bandage
Shears + Hooded Cloak = Bandage
Shears + Fine Hood = Bandage
Shears + Fine Cloak = Bandage
Shears + Fine Hooded Cloak = Bandage

Accessories

Hood + Cloak = Hooded Cloak
Fine Hood + Fine Cloak = Fine Hooded Cloak

Armor

For the purpose of comparison, stats for armor are included. PDef and MDef are Physical Defense and Magic Defense respectively; PEvd and MEvd are Physical Evade and Magic Evade respectively. Crafting Kits are not consumed when used.

Weapons

For the sake of simplicity, the weapon recipes are all consolidated with descriptors about what makes them special. Iron weapons are considered 'base', the pluses indicate how much more powerful the weapons of other materials are in comparison. For example, an iron sword has 5 attack power (base) so a mithril sword has 7 attack power (base +2). Crafting Kits are not consumed when used.

Looked it up in the game's files; it's called Toxic Powder. Also learned that you can make Toxic Powder by putting Bone Dust on a Slug Vine.

Just a real minor addition but you can make a Poison Dart from a Dart and (I forget the exact name I used up the three bags of it I found over the course of the game) I think it was called Toxic Dust. Could probably look at Alvorra or Voidspire Tactics guides to double check the name I suppose.

You can find a Whistle Stone in Mirrin Farm (you need a rope and piton). Iron ice can be found in Gale Ravine (need a shovel) and Frostbite Cave (NE islands on the world map). You can also get these ores as rewards from the salvage station. There's also a secret shop that sells a laser chunk.

Question: Where you can find the last 4 ores on the game? Im kinda sure that you can buy shock parts (1) on some shops and the crafted weapons are on some grooves, while 1 chunk Laser is found on the Clay Fortress. but the other ones and probably a supply of them?

Aldleaf Clothes* and Spidesilk Shirt both give PEvd: +6 for Aldleaf and +18 for Spidesilk (Not insignificant; considering how early you can get it, and how easy it is to stack PEvd with some builds).

It might be worth mentioning that a bow or crossbow crafted from a Whistle Stone have +1 range.

You can find a corpryst armor in the gale ravine, melt it and do whatever you want to craft with it. Though it's not that important of a detail.
