Wings of WWII

Description
WWII aerial combat wargame based on the WWII Wings of Glory/Wings of War game and ruleset. Features automated movement, bombing and damage summation.

Supports any number of aircraft/players (within TTS limits for players & objects).

Includes normal (small deck) and fast (large deck) fighters plus medium bombers (no bomber crew management at this stage).

Now with aerobatics - aircraft attitude is set based on the manoeuvre selected.

V0.18 Rationalises a number of items (all aircraft now use the same type of control board) and introduces a number of additional aircraft variants and a significant number of alternate skins (cycle through the "states" for each model prior to setting up the control board).

Gameplay Notes/Known Issues:
-Saving a game session in progress is not currently possible. V0.18 introduces much of the code intended to support this in future, however it is not yet fully functional.
-Damage tracking can sometimes be spoofed by moving chits around the edge of the damage token box causing TTS to detect multiple collisions with the relevant scripting zone (This appears to have been have been resolved by TTS update 13.1). However, if the damage does not total correctly you can force a recalculation by clicking on the aircraft's health counter.
-The control board enforces the acceleration and altitude rules by default, thus the speed selection toggles may be locked out at certain times. You can change this by right clicking anywhere on the table and selecting "Game Options" from the context menu.
-Bombing rules are strictly enforced in terms of release parameters. Though heavy load penalty rules are not enforced and payload quantity is not tracked.
-Future updates will allow some additional rules to be toggled on/off.
-At present the game does not work in hotseat mode due to the way in which TTS manages player colours in that mode (This may be resolved by TTS13.1 update, but I haven't fully tested this yet).

I can't see any planes in this mod except a lone Spitfire - have the other models been left out? Cheers

I have just discovered this impressive new version of this mod. Thank you very much for your work!
I've noticed that when they spawn some cards (like those for BF-109D-1) are smaller in size than the ones on the plane cards when they are loaded. Is it right?
Also, some model of BF109 fail to load.

martg327 at the moment there is no support for saving/loading part way through a game. It is something I am working on though. iSoul, I cannot replicate this error but will look into it. I am busy ovehauling a bunch of the meshes/textures anyway.

Thanks for this superb mod and all the work you have put in, very impressive.
I'm having a problem with the altitude change toggle. When I first create the aircraft the altitude +/- is available when I right click on a model, but if I save and then load a game, the altitude +/- toggles have gone from the list in the box. Any help much appreciated.

I will have a look at the damage bug. I can't seem to replicate it at the moment, though it must be TTS incorrectly detecting the entry of damage tokens into the scripting zone. As a catch all I will look to add a function to the board so that you can click the damage readout to recalculate the damage based on what is on the board at the time.

Damage appears to be bugged - it's not uncommon for damage to stack multiple times (e.g. a 3-damage token will do 6 or even 9, 12 etc. damage)

A couple of bugs have been brought to my attention:
1- The 'D' deck immelman manoeuvre is currently broken as the associated code was not updated correctly (this will be fixed in the next update).
2- The 'B' deck appears to show all bomb cards instead of manoeuvre cards when initially searched. The cards do however display and function correctly when pulled from the deck. I'm not sure of the cause here but will aim to fix in the next update.

The next update will also include all major Grumman Wildcat variant including reworked models and textures for the F4F3 and F4F4. Target release date is no later than end January.
