Hmmm... "Universally" ? - Thankfully not so much in my universe. Game has some nasty
bugs but most are easily fixed by launching with FoxAheads' Multi-Fix, and Mods like
Redux and R+R now include the multi-fixer and vastly improve both GFX and Game-Play.

Though I agree - Ubi should never do a remake unless they completely change their
trashy formula and return to serious gaming. So far their track record has been a straight
down-hill plunge.

This game is pretty much universally considered a piece of shit and Ubisoft aggressively pretend that it never happened. And judging by how they treat their acclaimed products, they better not recall that this game exists, because believe me nothing good will come of it.
