Heart Blood Potion

Description
It seemed a bit strange to me that the only Blood Potion(s) in the entire game were limited to Volkihar Castle, and you could only steal what few there are. So I made this little gem for you vamps out there that venture into deep caves and roam the wilderness, far away from civilization, and by proxy, a filling meal. Just grab a human heart, find a cooking pot/spit, and voila! You've got yourself a fully functional and bloody surprise!

Requirements:
Dawnguard

Compatibilities:
Everything! Created a brand new recipe. No items were altered in any way.

Compatible with 'Heart Breaker - A Killmove Mod' by Reko (Requires Dragonborn). A compatibility patch can be located here [www.nexusmods.com]. This patch will allow you to use the hearts included in Heart Breaker to make blood potions.

*NOTES*
As hearts are finite in the game, I recommend using this with a mod that adds more hearts. Whether they're hand-placed on tables, sold by merchants or are loot-able (chest, corpse), this will only work if the hearts added are unedited "vanilla" hearts. Otherwise, a compatibility patch will be required for my mod to use these added hearts. If you have a mod that you wish to be made compatible with this one, or are wondering if a patch is required for it to function, let me know.

If I remember correctly, I made the recipe "hidden" unless you had the required ingredients/keywords. I did this to limit clutter in the crafting menu. If it appears to not be working, first make sure you have a 'Human Heart' and are "afflicted" with Vampirism. If you meet these requirements, and it still isn't showing up, check that any mods you're using do not alter the heart or the blood potion, as this may interfere with the functionality of this mod. If that is the case, a compatibility patch must be made.

Для тех кто не играет в Dawnguard отличное зелье.

Хмм. А зачем использовать зелье после изменения Dawnguard когда НПС не боятся? Хотя идея мне нравится очень.

@Caine VanScythe Oh ok, it works now thank you.

Make sure you have the necessary ingredients, first. All you need is 1 Human Heart. If I remember correctly, I set it up so that the recipe wouldn't show unless you had the heart. This way it wouldn't clutter any menus.

@Caine VanScythe I went to a cooking spit in whiterun (I am a dawnguard vampire) but i still can't find the recipe in the cooking spit

New version of the main mod, along with a Heart Breaker patch, have been uploaded. Get them here [www.nexusmods.com]. Make sure that the patch is loaded after the other two.

That would be a no. Those are not vanilla hearts, they are custom made for that mod. It's not incompatible, but the custom hearts can't be used. Once I get back from work tonight, I'll make a patch for Heartbreaker. It'll be posted on the Nexus, which I'll link here once I'm finished.

hmm I have Heartbreaker and with it I sometimes rip out elf heart or orc heart or even khajit heart and I wanted to ask can I use them for blood potion ? or is it only human hearts only ?

As long as the game has flagged your character's race as being a vampire (Dawnguard is not required, but is compatible), the potion will become available at the cooking pot. If you are not a vampire, it will not be visible. If you'd like to test it out without having to become a vampire first, enter in one of the commands listed on this web page [www.uesp.net] into the console, then go to a cooking pot to create a potion (hearts can be obtained through the console as well).

Also, as I've said previously, as long as Heartbreaker uses vanilla assets, rather than custom hearts, you can use those hearts to create my potions.
