How do I join the other team?

Default warlords has side balancing, if you join a game that isn't balanced you'll get a black screen saying join the other team. To do this press ESC -> Abort to leave server, rejoin and select the team with less population.

How do I fast travel?

Press and hold ' i '(inventory key), select strategy -> Fast travel to a contested sector. Click the large request button.

Once on the map look around for a town with the target icon around it, outside of that town will be a small target icon for you to click to fast travel.

How do I change my equipment?

Press and hold ' i ' key(Inventory key), select < Arsenal >(best way), or choose a crate to airdrop to yourself. Recommended to have at least an anti-tank and anti-air loadout saved in your Arsenal for quick access.

NOTE: You only have 60 seconds at base before you can be teamkilled. Fast travel to a friendly sector before you start messing around in the gear menu.

How do I use ear plugs?

Default warlords does not have an ear plug mod.

If you really want to use ear plugs to lower the game volume you could go to the store and buy some I guess.

How do I vote for a new AO?

After you finishing capping the previous town, you go to map and click on the town you want to attack next. For a town to have an Attack Order(AO) placed on it there must be an unbroken line of towns connected to your main base that connect to the town you wish to attack.

If an AO gets cut off and you can no longer attack the town you can Reset sector voting under the strategy menu. Then vote for a new town to attack.

How long has this game been going?

Default warlords start time is 12:00(noon). To see the time press 'O'(watch key), 'M'(map key) top right of the map, or '[' (GPS key).

What you most likely actually want to know is: How far has this game progressed? which you can see by looking at the map and looking at the capped sectors or press P for the scoreboard to get an idea of which team is killing the most.

Where are we fighting?

Press 'M'(map key), look around for a town with a target icon around it.

If you are really having a hard time finding it follow the line of bluefor/opfor owned towns they will normally lead you to the town you are attacking.

How do we win?

By having an unbroken line of captured towns leading to the enemy base, then capturing the enemy base.

Once the AO is placed on the enemy base even if the enemy cuts you off you can still win the game by capping the enemy base.

Why is my team losing?

Press 'M', then use scroll wheel to zoom out the map. If you see a bunch of green towns on your half of the map and none on the enemy half of the map that probably has a lot to do with you getting steamrolled.

In a more historical sense the vast majority of battles in history were won by the side with the best morale, a few people with bad attitude/defeatism can turn a winnable game into a rout real quick.

How do I vote to kick someone?

It takes 50% of the friendly team to vote kick someone. To vote press 'M' (map key), select players, then the players name and click vote to kick.

The player menu can also be used to do this by double tapping 'J'.

How do I mute someone?

To mute press 'M' (map key), select players, then the players name and click mute.
The player menu can also be used to do this by double tapping 'J'.
You can also mass mute everyone by clicking the mic at the top of the menu.

How do I get Anti Air?

Most cost effective way is to call in a launcher crate from the gear menu or call in Missile Specialist (AA) from the Infantry menu.

Next up the cost tree is the arsenal, this is probably the quickest way to stop air spam since you can instantly resupply just by getting a new arsenal.

Cheetah/tigris is up next, but if you are already getting air spammed its probably too late to call these in unless you do it at a rear town.

Last on the CP scale is under the Defense menu you can buy/place an entire Surface to air missile(SAM) complex using launchers/radars if you really have some CP burning a hole in your pocket.
For roughly the cost of a SAM complex you could get 440 titan AA missiles from launcher crates or 132+ from arsenal loadouts.

Why is no one attacking the AO?

General rules of warlords, 1/3 of your team will be afk at base or not know how to fast travel.

1/3 of your team will be sitting AFK at the airfield waiting for CP so they can crash another jet.

Of the 1/3 of the team that is actually playing half of them will be flying around doing nothing productive.
That leaves about 3 players left over to actually win the game, if you are one of those lucky few that is capping zones give yourself a pat on the back you're the real hero.

Why can I not fast travel to a town even though we have an AO on it?

The AO is cut off and no longer connected to your base. You'll need to use the Reset sector voting under the strategy menu in order to get a new AO.

How do I make my AI get in my tank/heli?

Press the '~' key(its above tab) to select all or use the F1 - F5 keys to select 1 guy. Point at the tank/heli and scroll wheel to select "get in"

you can also use the '4' menu to select which tank/heli you want them to get into and even which seat.

How do I see the score?

Press P to see the scoreboard, then laugh because when you scroll down far enough to find yourself you realize even with 0 points you're still way ahead of all the teamkillers :grinning:

How do I ping?

Aim at what you want to ping and press Shift+T or you can use your mouse cursor on the map then ping.

How do I "git gud"?

1. Always carry AT. Yea, it can blow up tanks but it can also blow up planes, people, buildings, boats, towers, and even dolls. Seriously hitting a player in the face at 2,700 meters with enough explosives to blow up a tank is peak ArmA.

2. Lying prone with your bipod deployed with full health and full stamina is the most "zen" firing position you can get. Taking 3 seconds to get your firing position better can make the difference between a 1 burst kill and the enemy returning deadly fire your direction.

3. When in doubt just be inside the AO. Anyone inside the AO is a direct help to cap the town, even if you never kill a single enemy just getting in the zone is a huge help.

4. Talk less, listen more. Everything in ArmA has unique sounds and the positional audio is great, you can learn far more about the battle around you by listening to the game audio then you can from listening to screaming players.

Why do none of these keybinds work for me?

All my warlords guides use the Arma 3 Apex keybinds.
To set your keybinds press ESC -> controls -> click the PRESETS button -> select Arma 3 Apex

I see a cheater, what do I do?

I see a cheater, what do I do?
Go to the offical arma 3 discord, https://discord.gg/arma and you can report it using the following format.
Server id or ip:port :
User nickname:
GUID(#beclient players):
Time(UTC/zulu):

the '#beclient players' command needs to be typed into your chat box to get GUID. Report can be DM'd to the admin in discord. He is pretty great at dealing with cheaters if you can provide him the information he needs to find them.
