If it helps for those having random breaks. I think this is an issue with the base game. I have had the same thing without this mod. Look around and see if there is an AI car off in the weeds or spawned off the road. I think it breaks the logic when that happens. The only fix is to restart the job. I haven't had it happen twice.

I tried your fix.
Game works. Both escorts guards are trucks now but halfway of the ride I encountered a bug or something. The leading guard stops on the road with no reason. Nothing to block him. The guard behind was also clear. Nothing between all of us to explain a jam or anything. The leading guard never moved again. I tried repositioning my truck, telling myself maybe he wants me to realign my truck behind him, and of course, it has changed nothing.
With no traffic around in desert, the leading guard was clearly bugged.

You answered me previously that your mod does'nt need any specific rank in mod tree. Why now it should counts?

I do not have any mod for special transport.

I just tried it by placing your mod before the "Municipal police traffic pack" mod and the game has crashed. So, it can't be this.

And I never had any issue before.

there is no error in mod,
you probably have an activated mod in which is the definition for police cars from Special Transport DLC. please put my mod first in the mod manager and check if it is correct

my mod only changes the definition of police cars in def/vehicle/ai "car_name".dlc_oversize

An answer please. As said, I have a police car in front. Can you have a look on this?

Another quick question, please. I did a special delivery last night with escort vehicles and even with your mod, I had one police car in front all the way long and an escort truck coming from your mod behind me. Is it supposed to be like this?

I thought that this mod is replacing both police cars with special trucks guards. Front and behind.

Can you please clarify this? I might have badly understood.
