How to Obtain All the Achievements

Welcome to my guide in which I'll explain the methods I've used to get every single achievement [now in actual English], please note that this guide was write for everyone so the experienced players may find some explanations a bit elementary.

Remember that you can always check your statistics in the Score section of the game if you don't know the progress of certain achievements.

General Achievements

Way of the Pick

Level a Digger Dwarf to Level 15!

Start a game at the lowest difficulty and follow, for the majority of the time, one single dwarf, let him explore/dig the minerals/caves and remember to not speed up whenever you are going to open a cave, it can be lethal for your dwarf! Also, if you find some enemies, dig another path in the opposite direction from your base and block the entrance with some walls. One is enough, if well placed.

Way of the Axe

Level a Warrior Dwarf to Level 15!

The way I obtained it was to choose a warrior survived from a boss battle and let him slay all the enemies. Always pay attention to the lava/water sources!

Not A War hammer

Get a cumulative total of 40k gold

Self-explanatory, just play the game until you get the achievement.

Slayer of Kings

You've slain 30 Bosses

Self-explanatory, just play the game until you get the achievement.

Hole In One

Kill a Goblin by luring him down a hole

Easy as pie, just detonate a dynamite at the entrance of a goblin's cave before he manages to get out.

Micro Master

Use Instant Seal on 10 Water- or Lava Caves!

What you need to do to get this achievement is to prepare (prepare, not place!) a dynamite before opening a cave full of lava or water, once you hear the warning signal just click on the dwarf, then block the cave, the way to do this is shown in the image below:

Like Bunnies

Have 2500 Diggers in all games total

Self-explanatory, just play the game until you get the achievement.

Carnival Achievements

Stupid Achievement

Play the Carnival minigame

This doesn't need an explanation at all...

Try Again

Miss with every axe in the Carnival minigame

Point in any direction you want except the frontal one and throw away all your axes.

You Perv!

Hit only elves, and at least five of them, in the Carnival minigame

Place your dwarf at the position shown in the image and hit the elves.

Headshot!

Hit only zombies, and at least five of them, in the Carnival minigame

Place your dwarf at the position shown in the image and throw your axe once the zombie is near to the marked area, I suggest to hit only the targets coming from the right, pay attention because the speed of the target may change sometimes!



However this achievement requires a little bit of patience and luck because of the spawn of poles, just retry until you have this achievement!

Pole Dancer

Hit only poles with all axes in the Carnival minigame

Hit the nearest poles, I suggest to throw a maximum of three axes once a pole has spawn.

Sharpshooter

Hit a target with every single axe in the Carnival minigame

You can choose between three different targets:
- Zombies;
- Elves;
- Goblins;
Hit only the goblins which are the easiest ones for the achievement.

Bronze Axe

Score at least 500 points in the Carnival minigame

Skip to the 'Gold Axe' achievement.

Silver Axe

Score at least 1000 points in the Carnival minigame

Skip to the 'Gold Axe' achievement.

Gold Axe

Score at least 2500 points in the Carnival minigame

There are two ways known by me to do this:
- A combo of 10 hits with elves (2750 points);
- A combo of 7 hits with zombies (2800 points);

Campaign Achievements

King of the Caves

Get awarded with Two Axes on every single Challenge

• To Battle!

For this challenge all you need is one dwarf, start from the top right corner and avoid these kinds of situation (especially at the very beginning):



You can simplify the work by trapping your dwarf between the two caves like in the image:



• Catastrophe

You have to be very quick at the beginning, slow down the game and detonate the nearest sources of lava.



Just two advices for this challenge:
- Try to not exaggerate with the walls, you have to survive for three entire minutes with at least 1000 gold;
- Use the walls to block the lava, but not the water, in fact, you will able to save a lot of gold if the lava is blocked the way is shown in the image;



Try to prevent your dwarves digging their way to hell and, obviously, block the water sources once they have fulfilled their job.

• To The Point

I highly recommend to read first the 'The Thickest Beard' achievement in order to learn the techniques.
Try to explore as much as possible, remember to trap every water/lava sources and kill bosses as they will reward you with some points, but more important, keep pressing that S key!

• The More The...

I highly recommend to read first the 'The Thickest Beard' achievement in order to learn the techniques.
Six taverns should be enough, for the rest, play the match like you did in the previous challenge.

• Godspeed

I highly recommend to read first the 'The Thickest Beard' achievement in order to learn the techniques.
You have to always be prepared to detonate a dynamite before opening a cave, it would be the end if a dwarf strikes a water/lava source! For the rest, play as you did in the previous challenges.

Arcade Mode Achievements

Diggy Kong

Dig through a total of 25000 squares in Arcade Mode.

Self-explanatory, just play the Arcade Mode until you get the achievement.

Beard for Business

Dig through a total of 1000 mineral squares in Arcade Mode.

Self-explanatory, just play the Arcade Mode until you get the achievement.

Untimely Death

Manage to die in an arcade game in less than fifteen seconds!

Start a game at the highest difficulty, speed up the match with the S key and lead your first dwarf to the nearest caves, if you find a lava or water source wait for the game to be over, repeat the game until you get the achievement.

For The Hoard

Have 25000 gold coins in Arcade Mode!

Self-explanatory, just play the Arcade Mode until you get the achievement.

Cave Crasher

Open 2000 Caves in Arcade Mode

Self-explanatory, just play the Arcade Mode until you get the achievement.
I got this after six hours of play, if I recall correctly.

Pro Arcader

Survive a 60-minute Arcade Game on Normal Mode

There are two ways known by me to unlock it:
- Win the Normal Mode;
- Earn a total amount of 1000 gold and do what is shown in the image below;



Detonate all the dynamites and do something else while the 60 minutes pass.

In The Business

Have 10 Outposts with Taverns in Arcade Mode

An outpost costs 250 gold in Easy mode with an additional base cost of 250 gold every time you build another one, that makes a total of 13,750 gold required if you want to achieve this in a single game, it's not necessary though.
To activate a tavern, just click the beer icon as shown in the image below.



Note that an active tavern costs 50 gold per dwarf spawned.

War Is On

Have 25 Warriors at the same time in Arcade Mode

Self-explanatory, just play the Arcade Mode until you get the achievement.

Eeeh?! Iisi Moodo?!

Get a score over 500 000 in Easy Arcade Mode!

Skip to 'The Thickest Beard' achievement for the entire explanation.

Hip to be Square

Get a score over 500 000 in Normal Arcade Mode!

Skip to 'The Thickest Beard' achievement for the entire explanation.

The Rock

The Thickest Beard

Get a score over 500 000 in Tedi Hardcore Arcade Mode!

To achieve this, you will need to learn the techniques, I'll start with random but important advices:
- Don't activate additional taverns (it's not necessary for the achievement);
- Don't speed up the game after the first minute, you will save the lives of your diggers the moment a dwarf will stumble in a danger and you will be not prepared;
- Don't speed up the game if you're going to open a cave, at least not when you're going to dig the last block;
- At the beginning of the game, if you find a cave full of enemies, detonate the entrance;
- Always give the priority to:
• Lava sources;
• The nearest sources of lava/water;
• The main base (sometimes it happens that a single goblin destroy your base);
- Don't be afraid if you find a source of lava/water, once the dynamite is detonated you'll have some time to think over the situation, I suggest to not waste your gold and solidify only the frontal part of the cave, you can always finish the work in a second time;
- Don't spend every single gold you have, if not for a boss battle. Always try to save at least 500 gold;
- Try to not build useless outposts, three should be enough, if well placed;
- Don't waste your slow motion ability, use it for lava/water sources;
- Always detonate the entrance of an enemy's cave if you are not prepared to fight;
- Always avoid the rage mode of the bosses, especially for the Spider Queen;
- Open all the caves near to the main base, all of them;
- Remember that you can obtain additional points (and gold) completing certain requirements (defeating a boss, once you have produced a certain amount of dwarves/warriors etc...);
- Don't be lazy and send, with some frequency, your diggers to the nearest minerals;
- Always check all the paths and dwarves, don't stay for a entire minute watching a dwarf doing nothing;

As you may have already noticed, the methods to survive to this tough challenge are a constant monitoring of all the situations and the patience to prevent all the possible dangers, with that said, at the beginning of the game, open all the nearest caves in order to prevent any possible betrayal from a dwarf in the distant future and send your dwarves, all of them, to dig some minerals, if you have a lot of gold available at this point spawn two more warriors, just to prevent the attacks.
Always be ready to detonate the entrance of a possible boss cave or lava source, give the maximum priority to them!
Don't hesitate to build an outpost when a boss spawns in a remote position, remember that the rage mode of a boss in the first phases can be fatal, if a Spider Queen spawns, prepare yourself for a tough fight, obviously, you must watch your diggers while fighting a boss, never lose the concentration, monitoring is one of the keys to get the achievement. If you're in a situation of peace you can always seal the sources of lava/water.

If you played your cards well, in 40 minutes (the maximum for a non-experienced player, I guess) you will be rewarded with the 'The Thickest Beard' achievement! That's all, now you have all the achievements!

Campaign Achievements
King of the Caves I don't understand how to get the achievement, his guide is based on explaining how to get all the achievements, but that achievement I'm missing is the one I don't understand :(

For 'The Thickest Beard' achievement, you can just 'Save' and 'Load' your match, that way u'll know which caves to avoid :) ez pz

Not really. You need only Dwarfs F2P - Difficulty Pack and Dwarfs F2P - Summer Carnival Pack. Astats confirms this and I have the game 100%-ed with just these 2. I don't remember getting the other DLCs and then refunding them.
