AI Species Assimilation

Description
- Prevents AI from modifying species too frequently.

- Prevents AI from creating more than a few subspecies for each base species.

- After AI applies a new species template, all other pops in their empire of the same base species will slowly assimilate into the new template.

Compatibility:
- Works best when combined with something that disables Xeno-Compatibility (at least for the AI).

- Not compatible with anything that overrides the can_modify_species game rule.

@ralendil So it limits the AI to create more than 3 subspecies?

Doesn’t work with 3.3... it will forbid AI to spam new subspecies but the main script will not work. It will only block the AI with 3 possibilities of modifying species. Sad...

Hey, just wanted to say that this mod is great. The five of us started a new save and didn;t even get a desync until 2372 - whereas in our old save we got them at 2280 and kept getting them until 2260 when we ended.

It should work fine if added to an older save, though it may cause a bit of lag for a while if the number of pops needing to be assimilated is very high. Also, due to how the mod works, pops will not begin assimilating within a species until the AI completes at least one gene-modding project for that species.

Can this mod be used on an old save?
