Playing the game you paid for
So with this game being on sale recently, more people have bought it, meaning more people have the error where the game just keeps loading when you try to sign into your Rockstar Social Club account. Rockstar seems to want to play no part in fixing this issue. However, after spending half an hour trying to get this game to work, I finally found a way of getting it to work.

First of all, go to Start -> Control Panel -> System and Security -> Allow a program through Windows firewall.

You should see this:

Now, click Allow another program and then browse for renderer.exe located at C:\Program Files (x86)\Rockstar Games\Social Club.

Click add and you should see this:
Tick Home/Work (Private), and Public if you want to sign in whilst connected to a public network on your computer.

Launch L.A. Noire, and you should now be able to sign in!

I hope this helped! :)
Like if this helped you so other people can see this!

I know this is a hammer when all we need is a Scalpel but I lack the technical know how to individually test all options, one of these or multiple seems to work everytime.

You can try this as well, Win10 goto Settings>Updates & Security>Windows Security>App& Browser Control, scrolldown to Exploit Protection>Settings, there are 2 tabs SystemSettings & ProgramSettings, click on the latter & then "Add program to customize"
Select following programs LANLauncher.exe,LANoire.exe,LANPatcher.exe from your installation folder, then goto R* folder & add Launcher.exe,LauncherPatcher.exe. In each of these files select option Override System Settings then "turn them off" in the next option& then save. This works for some people.
If you use any antivirus make sure to add all these files to its exception list in exploit protection, and "safe folder access" (My Documents) and firewall.
In addition to it you also need to go to LANoire folder & select ypatcher.exe file & do the same for it. (Forgot to mention it earlier)
Hope this helps.

Yeah, didn't paid attention to the date. Sorry about that. Still don't have a solution yet. Somehow after several restarts game launched in offline mode. I have no clue why.

@Asus This guide is 7 years old at this point. I wouldn't be surprised if Social Club was handled differently at this point. If your game isn't working, you might want to Google more recent solutions.

I don't have any renderer.exe or subprocess.exe. Where can I find them? I can't login this Social Club.

Yep , works if you download the patch after you do this ;)

Manual Links to L.A. Noire Patch

Windows 8 users who are attempting to install the disc version for the first time will need to use the following manual links in order to update to the latest version, which is compatible with Windows 8.
English/French/Italian/German/Spanish: {LINK VERWIJDERD}

P.s. This is a LAN patch than you need to get rid of the Offline error when the game starts on PC .

Happy Gaming !

idk, if it work. my internet is so lame, l.a noire rarely display about login to your r* account, they use auto login. if you have another r* games that use social club (gta v, in my case), log in first to that game, and then play l.a noire

Thank you! I reinstalled GTA 4 and couldn't play it for a few days because I couldn't log in. The firewall was really the trick! :)

@nanodrummer I've not updated this guide since I first wrote it. RSC might have been updated to use subprocess.exe instead of renderer.exe. I'll change the guide if it's confirmed.
