GrantMeMoney: get cash / money unconditionally

Description

Playing semi-realistically but need some cash for a new highway? Just realized you're in dire need of several new firehouses, stat?

This mod lets you grant yourself any amount of money unconditionally. Use it for whatever headcanon you have.

Using GrantMeMoney
Click the button to open the grants panel, then click Apply to grant the money. If you're paused, it may take a second to update in the UI after you unpause. Negative numbers work too, in case you want to simulate losing extra money.

Click and drag to move the button.

Mod Compatibility
I'm not aware of any mods this conflicts with.

This mod was inspired by the Mo' Money Mod, which stopped working for me on a new computer.

The Future
In my games, I use this tool to simulate some government awarding grants for big projects. The end state of this mod, were it possible, would be something like:
  • $20k grant to build a new zoo or amusement park, with $10k available to start and $10k after the game recognizes that you've built out a new park area
  • $50k "transit" grant, half payable immediately and half after 3 new metro lines have been constructed
  • $15k "oil development" grant -- just unlocked a new area that has a lot of oil resources? here's a little stimmy to jumpstart development of a new industrial district

I can see how some might think that makes the game less sandboxy and more guided, but IMO it makes it more realistic -- if my city desperately needs a new transit line or a new highway (e.g. in Boston, the Big Dig and GLX are prime examples), the federal (or state, or whoever) government is usually gonna kick in some money to make it happen.

For now, though, the mod lets you decide!

I downloaded this mod for the every first time today and it worked nicely with RICO, Find it, etc. I found the icon on the left-side of Chirpy.

One of my favourite mods, I use this in every city I play.
Couple of suggestions for you to consider :)

1. Allow players to choose a random approval rate, for added simulation. Could be an options page slider 0 - 100% approval rate. Where 100% is obviously the current functionality.

2. Add a few random chirper messages, having cims recognize the approval/rejection of the grant would add to the fun. i.e "Our mayor got approved for a new grant, can't wait to see what they spend the money on! #CityImprovements"

3. Add a randomised delay, so that there is some level of the user having to wait to find out if they're approved (nothing major, say at most 30 seconds?)

4. Settings :D So that people who hate my suggestions can turn them off and pick their own experience
