Volkihar Attitude Adjustment

Description
Finish Dawnguard, killed Harkon and you still feel like Rodney Dangerfield and get no respect? Well this mod aims to rectify that. It gives you a spell which makes the Volkihar vampires killable. It can be found in Harkon's Cathedral after you finish the entire Dawnguard questline.

Requirements:
Must have the "Dawnguard DLC" installed.
Must Finish "Kindred Judgement" (The main Dawnguard questline)
Made for those who chose the vampire side of the Dawnguard questline.

WARNING:
I recommend you complete all the radiant quests listed below before using the spell. Otherwise you might not get some of the rewards from them. Or just use the "Resurrect" console command after you've had your fun.

How to use the spell:
Use the Spell Tome: Attitude Adjustment to learn the spell "Attitude Adjustment". Go to your "Magic's" > "Restoration" > "Attitude Adjustment". Equip it like any other spell, aim at the target and zap him. If he's a volkihar vampire hanging out in the Guild Hall, he will no longer be essential and can be killed.

The NPC will think you healed him, so he will be delighted when you zap him with the spell.

To resurrect said vampire after killing him, open your console, click on his/her corpse and type "Resurrect". Make sure you clicked on them and not the floor if it doesn't work.

When does this mod activate and give me access to the spell tome?

Once you've completed Kindred Judgement (Kill Harkon) and walk in and out of the Volkihar Keep (Volkihar Main Guild Hall), this mod will enable on it's own prompting you to get the book inside Harkon's old boss room.

Volkihar Radiant Quests:
Amulets of Night Power: Retrieve the Amulets of Night Power. (radiant)
Ancient Power: Retrieve vampire parts from varied locations around Skyrim. (radiant)
Culling the Beast: Kill the thin-blooded vampires. (radiant)
Deceiving the Herd: Frame the Dawnguard for murder. (radiant)
The Hunt: Kill the Dawnguard spy. (radiant)
New Allegiances: Turn the target into a vampire. (radiant)
Protecting the Bloodline: Destroy a vampire before it turns its allies. (radiant)
Rings of Blood Magic: Retrieve the Ring of the Erudite and the Ring of The Beast. (radiant)
[edit]Other Quests
Destroying the Dawnguard: Kill the Dawnguard leaders. (This quest activates if you successfully completed Kindred Judgement and several radiant quests.)
The Gift: Turn your spouse into a creature of the night.

You can find more information on these radiant quests here: http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Skyrim:Volkihar_Vampire_Clan

If I get enough requests I might consider putting a book in that does not have requirements. But I really don't want to do that because it will break someone's game who doesn't understand the technical aspect of computer gaming dependencies.

This spell only works on the Volkihar Vampires. No other NPC's can be affected by it. Why? So it can't break your Skyrim save.

Simply put, anyone who would make a mod of this kind without some safeguards would be irresponsible.

Oh yeah, none of my mods will be on the nexus. I only support Bethesda (now Microsoft) directly.

Well thanks for that too. I tried the Nexus SE initially and probably that is why I couldn't find it, (searched: 'Attitude Adjustment' under 'spells' etc not VAA) good stuff thanks for the link (pc).

This mod has been ported over to SE since SE came available.

Amazingly small but 'essential' spell mod lol! My hope is for it to be added to Skyrim SE sometime soon. Kudo's to Mr DiGiTaL! Successfully used in Oldrim and I can now move into Volkihar Redux which had benefited from this restoration spell!

Gotta say "Decieving the Herd" is my least favorite vamp quest cuz the guy expects you to kill a merchant or whatever. Fortunately that part is just optional so I just mostly kill a guard or some other minor NPC. If I kill off all the merchants where would I buy shit from then?

But then you have the damn guards on your ass and you need to fight, pay, or make a run for it. I don't know what real impact the optional objectives have other than making Faron happy like a school girl :/

Well thanks for the kind words. It's always the best to get postive feedback.
