22pop Scout Rush - Build Order

A basic Build Order for 22pop Scout Rush. The Nr.1 beginner strategy to learn and master

Dark Age:
* 6 vils on sheep
* 3 vils on wood
* 1 vil lure boar
* 1 vil to boar (8 total)
* 4 vils to berries
* Add 2 farm (pop 16-18)
* 2 vils on wood
* 2 vils on 2nd wood
* loom
* Advance to Feudal Age
* Send 3 vils to 2nd wood
* Start building Barrack before 50% Feudal

Feudal Age:
* 3 vils to build Stable
* Research Horse-collar
* Research Double-bit Axe
* Add farms as soon as you accumulate 60 wood

Arabia is more open again with the recent patch, so it's more viable. And even if you don't manage to keep his base open so is it always good to have map control, just don't over-invest into Scouts if you don't see a way of breaking in. You could always force your way in with towers or archers along with your scouts too, or go straight to castle with a eco suitable for knights.

Good build. A good scout rush does not even necessarily end the game. Just lets you have a power spike in early feudal. At my skill level (1100) elo it can be hard to manage the eco if you go up to feudal at 18 pop. The rush can actually end up hurting newer players more than it helps. Having a good eco behind a 22 scout rush can help you maintain momentum and keep the fight in their base rather than yours.

The thing with 18-19 pop Scout Rush at your level is that it's usually not worth it. As it requires a lot of micro between being effective with your scouts and keeping your eco going flawlessly. Which is something I am sure you will agree is very difficult, and that many players even on my level struggle with. 22 pop is a lot safer and makes a easier and faster transition into castle age, and if something goes wrong you will have the eco to improvise and adapt whereas you wouldn't with 18-19 pop.

im @1000 elo and like 90% chance that scout rush will be a fail if i do it @22 pop
While if i do it with 18 pop... its like 75% chance it will end the game early.

It's a basic generic build order, great for beginners. 22 pop is only outdated in the pro scene. 18-19 pop Scout Rush is not recommended below 1600 ELO, even if you're Mongols or Franks it will often be more beneficial to up at 20-21, until you reach around the mentioned skill level.

22 pop is outdated.... scouts now are 18 or max 19.....

I am a beginner in open maps but I find 21 pop just not that hard if you do loom.
