Introduction

Your hipfire and your aim down sights sensitivity isn't the same -- it's adjusted by the zoom sensitivity slider (see image).

Achieving a 1:1 ratio isn't as simple as it seems, a value of 100 actually increases your sensitivity when you aim, and the desired value is somewhere between 70-90. This guide will help you find it.
The problem
The slider value is FOV dependent, and most weapons have their own zoom FOV. As such, you can only set it to 1:1 for one desired weapon type -- preferably handguns as they have second largest FOV (the most largest being flamethrowers).

Note: somebody presumably made a tool which lets you change the ratio with hotkeys, but to be fair that seems like too much work. If you're interested you can find it here.[www.mouse-sensitivity.com]

I'm offering 2 methods of setting up the right value:
-- Method 1 is faster, with fixed FOV values (16:9).
-- Method 2 is tricky, you get to find values yourself.
Method 1. faster, 16:9 displays only
  • Launch game at least once after latest patch, close the game.
  • Glance at the table and choose desired FOV preset.

  • Open Explorer and paste following path:
    %UserProfile%\Documents\My Games\KillingFloor2\KFGame\Config\
  • Open file KFInput.ini with Notepad. Find (Ctrl+F) and replace following lines:
    LookRightScale=0 LookUpScale=0 bEnableMouseSmoothing=False bViewAccelerationEnabled=False ZoomedSensitivityScale=YOUR 'ZOOM SENSITIVITY' VALUE FROM THE TABLE
  • Open file KFGame.ini with Notepad. Find (Ctrl+F) and replace following line:
FOVOptionsPercentageValue=YOUR 'FOV VALUE (IN OPTIONS)' FROM THE TABLE
  • Save and close both files. You should be good to go here.

  • (Optional) To prevent game from resetting changes every patch, navigate to following folder:
    Steam\steamapps\common\killingfloor2\Engine\Config\
And replace the same lines inside BaseInput.ini and BaseGame.ini files respectively.
Method 2. custom zoom sens value
Note: you will need to know your mouse DPI for this one.
  • Launch game at least once after latest patch, make sure your desired mouse sensitivity and FOV are in order. Close the game.
  • Open Explorer and paste following path:
    %UserProfile%\Documents\My Games\KillingFloor2\KFGame\Config\
  • Open file KFInput.ini with Notepad, find and replace following lines:
    LookRightScale=0 LookUpScale=0 bEnableMouseSmoothing=False bViewAccelerationEnabled=False
  • Copy your "MouseSensitivity" value in clipboard. Save and close the file.

  • Visit this website.[www.mouse-sensitivity.com]
  • Scroll down a bit, and inside INPUT section, fill in following values as shown on image below:
Sensitivity 1: the value you copied from config. DPI: your mouse's dpi. Aim: hipfire.

  • Scroll down a bit further, and from CALCULATIONS section, copy csgo's sensitivity value.

  • Download tool Sensitivity Matcher (1.5)[www.kovaak.com] Extract contents anywhere and launch the program.
  • Inside Sensitivity Matcher, choose "Quake/Source" from drop down list and paste the csgo sensitivity you copied earlier.

  • Launch Killing Floor 2 and start a solo offline game. Ready up and start the match.
  • To stop zeds from bothering you, open console (tilde key (~), underneath Esc) and type in following lines:
    EnableCheats ToggleZedsIgnoreMe
  • Now you will be doing consistent rotations. Find an object with good contrast to place your crosshair against, and press Alt+Backspace. You should get something like this:
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-bbnVr-BIt4
  • If you got csgo sensitivity right, you should do a perfect rotation while hipfiring.
  • Aim down sights with the pistol, and adjust your Zoom Sensitivity value in the options until you get a close to perfect rotation (or smaller) while aiming.

You should be good to go here.

Note: different weapon types will still have different sensitivities, but handguns have second largest zoom FOV -- thereby anything else will have slower sensitivity. I had warned you.

    (Optional steps)
  • To prevent the game from reverting the values every patch, close the game and navigate to following folder:
    Steam\steamapps\common\killingfloor2\Engine\Config\
  • Open file BaseInput.ini with Notepad. Find and replace following lines:
    LookRightScale=0 LookUpScale=0 bEnableMouseSmoothing=False bViewAccelerationEnabled=False ZoomedSensitivityScale= YOUR ZOOM SENSITIVITY (see below)
You can get your precise zoom sens value from following file:
    %UserProfile%\Documents\My Games\KillingFloor2\KFGame\Config\KFInput.ini
  • Open file BaseGame.ini with Notepad. Find and replace following line:
FOVOptionsPercentageValue= YOUR FOV FROM THE OPTIONS (see below)
You can get your precise FOV multiplier from following file:
    %UserProfile%\Documents\My Games\KillingFloor2\KFGame\Config\KFGame.ini
  • If the lines were missing, add them. Save and close both files.

Please be informed when you use sensitivity matcher you have to have a numeric section. Which I dont have so i am unable to adjust how far I spin. I can only use numbers above qwerty so one button has either +/= to switch that i need to press SHIFT. Sesnitivity matcher do not recgonize input then.

Under Aim drop-list, select "Hipfire" option instead of "All".

I see, thanks. And there's a thing I don't understand. You said the 1:1 zoom sensitivity can only be applied to one type of weapon, assume now I only want to apply it to handgun, so I should enter fov value of 1.222222 and zoom sensitivity value of 0.797210 in config to get 1:1 zoom sensitivity for handgun?

Configs give more percision with decimals -- over a vague in-game slider.
The values displayed in-game are same as the ones in config, they're just visually rounded.

so what's the difference compared to changing zoom sensitivity and fov in game directly???
