I've started to prefer my large Dogbone , when I leave enough space for it.
I'll try the traffic light (TM:PE), and using 2+1 national highways (NeXT2) with right turn on red (TM:PE) to see if it helps, but compared to a diverging diamond interchange, I think it's too small to have the right properties for CSL.
Perhaps if it was elevated (as I usually use this as a service interchange for an elevated highway running by/thru my city) you could use a roundabout instead of left turns, keeping it as free-flowing as possible. I might try that in the asset editor.
Overall - I think the main issue is the size for CSL math (vs real math/traffic/merging/zippering).
