DJ Alpha Live Achievement Guide

This guide describes how to get the DJ Alpha Live Achievement and shows all 3 AIR music lists in order. This can also help you find DLC songs and songs you have not yet unlocked to play in AIR mode.

Explanation of Achievement Requirements

For the DJ Alpha Live achievement, you must play the #1 most played song in your game. This is a little confusing since it says "Favorite", which is a list you can add songs to in Free Style. Unfortunately, those do not work and neither do your 2nd-10th most played songs. You can check what the most played is by going to the Collection, navigating to the PLAY INFO tab (highlighted in red), and looking at the top of the list on the right side. If you look at my list, my top played song is Nightmare (highlighted in green).

Once you know your song, you have to play that song when it comes up in AIR mode. I turned off autoplay and played through the whole song but I believe you can simply start the song and it will pop. If you don't understand how AIR mode works, this is a waiting game or pure luck. However, there's an easy way to get what you want.

How AIR mode Stations work

Basically, BEGINNER and MASTER stations simply move down their music lists, so they should never be the same as they are offset by a large number of songs. STANDARD moves up the music list instead. With this in mind, looking at all three lists should be enough to see where and when your song will be up next.

Additionally, songs move alphabetically (for the most part) from A to Z in BEGINNER and almost entirely alphabetically in MASTER. STANDARD just goes in reverse order of the BEGINNER list, with a small change. BEGINNER and STANDARD follow specific song categories, which go in the following order (or reverse for STANDARD):

Portable 1 (1st pass, A-Z)
Portable 1 (2nd pass, A-Z)
Portable 2 (1st pass, A-Z)
Portable 2 (2nd pass, A-Z)
Respect (unknown order)
Respect free add-ons (by date released on PS4)
Respect V exclusives and V Extension DLC (A-Z in split categories for BEGINNER, Z-A combined for STANDARD)
Emotional Sense DLC
(repeat)

Some songs are not in alphabetical order in Portable 1 and Portable 2 due to language differences, so please keep that in mind.

Finally, 3 songs are labeled as Portable 1 since they appeared in that game, but came out as free add-ons for DJMAX Respect on PS4. They appear in the Respect "section" of the list instead. Those songs are, in order of appearance:

CnP (considered Respect song)
Dreadnought (considered Respect song)
Ask to Wind Live Mix (considered Respect song)

STANDARD Music List

Next, we'll cover STANDARD. This is pretty much the same as BEGINNER except the DLC section is a bit different and the station moves up the list (Z-A). Please keep that in mind when you look at this list to reduce confusion. I'll be using Alone as the hypothetical starting song here. I've added double ++s in front of V Extension DLC songs and double --s for the V exclusive songs, since they share a folder. After that comes the Emotional Sense DLC songs which I've marked with double **s.

MASTER Music List

Finally, we have MASTER station, which has a completely different list from the other two. This station goes almost entirely in alphabetical order, but any time it hits a V exclusive song or DLC V Extension song, it substitutes them for another one in those two categories. Once again, Emotional Sense DLC songs are not included in this weird mix and are listed alphabetically. The substitutions are completely set, no guessing required. This list moves downward, and I will use Chain of Gravity as the hypothetical starting point. Once again I've keyed V Extension songs as ++, V exclusives as --, and Emotional Sense songs as **.

In case it wasn't clear enough, the exact unlock condition is to START playing air mode on your most favorite song. If you're are already inside air mode when it rolls over to your favorite song it doesn't count. I ended up playing Fentanest in air 6x lol

I don't know if the achivement was bugged for me yesterday, but it looks like you have to play the exact chart (difficulty and button mode). At least that worked for me.
