If a new Risk of rain 2 version is released then go to thunderstore.io/package/bbepis/BepInExPack and download new archive.Then you need to delite game floder (Not in steam, full floder called "Risk of Rain 2" in "\steamapps\common\".After that download game again and open archive that you downloaded and open floder called "BepInExPack" then unpack all files from that floder to game floder.
To install R2 API go to thunderstore.io/package/tristanmcpherson/R2API and download archive and then unpack to "\steamapps\common\Risk of Rain 2\BepInEx" now you can install mods that requests R2 API.

If you can see something like this on Thunderstore click to that API name and download it.It can be installed as normal modification "\steamapps\common\Risk of Rain 2\BepInEx\plugins".Mod that requests this APi you need to drop to the same place.

About mod config"s floder.If you want to change some limits or other stuff you can find config floder at "\Risk of Rain 2\BepInEx\config".Here you can open any file with Notepad++[github.com] or windows .txt reader
