The one thing I keep on noticing is that the HRE armies are stacked with peasant crossbowmen. I've come across two stacks attacking me which are made completely out of them save for the general.

Do you use the Bran battle ai as I buffed the French so they can survive better.

Essentially I was at war with the HRE and England by turn 2 (and also the County of Toulose and Aragon who joined the Toulosians). Then all the HRE vassals declared war on me and the christian spanish kingdoms did as well. The HRE has 4-5 stacks near Rouen and I am ordering a full scale evacuation of the french armies I have stationed there.

It is at turn 22 and its on normal difficulty.

What turn is that and what campaign difficulty?
