Importing custom car skins for Assetto Corsa

Just a quick guide for those of you that would like to know how to import custom skins for your cars in Assetto Corsa but still don't know how to.

Finding skins

First of all we need a skin to put in the game. I recommend visiting Race Department[www.racedepartment.com] since it has a nice collection of skins to get you started. Also you can find the newest skins avaliable on official Assetto Corsa forum.[www.assettocorsa.net]

Putting the skins in the game

First you need to find your Steam installation folder and from there navigate to Assetto Corsa cars folder. The path should look like this Steam/SteamApps/common/assettocorsa/content/cars.















Now select car folder your downloaded skin is for and copy your skin folder to skins folder.
















MULTIPLAYER UPDATE: In multiplayer your custom skins are only visible to people who have the same custom skins as you.

How do I load multiple skins on AC? I placed them in the Cheverrte GTO file, but can't select just the one's I want like trans am,nascar. They all show up in the game.

the renault 3.5 car mod downloaded from some crap cloud site doesnt work at all in any folder it just f***s up car selection with an unknow car grrrrrrrrrrrrr

Do custom skins appear online, too? Or will human opponents be racing the same stock of lookalike cars?

@elbowman777 I don't know what's the problem, never had that issue. Maybe try selecting some of the stock paints and then again the custom one.

Hello, thank you very. But i copy skins in to the folder and i can see skin in the menu but cant see skin in the game. Why?? Thank you for help.
