Description
This addon contains a great deal of ships (and some other objects) from the "X3" era of Egosoft's X videogame series: X³ Reunion, X³ Terran Conflict, X³ Albion Prelude, and X³ Farnham's Legacy.

The addon was originally created by Ettore_bilbo on the forum as "X3TC mod" (still available at the forum[forum.spaceengine.org]), XBrain130 made a complete overhaul and vastly expanded it.

Features
  • All objects are scaled accordingly to game files (for real now).
  • All ships have engine effects, with main engines using the sfx from the games.
  • ➥ Like in X² The Threat and some specific ships added in X3AP and X3FL, plumes are colored based on the manifacturing race (light blue = Argon, dark blue = Boron, amber = Paranid, red = Split, green = Teladi, white = Terran, pink = Xenon, purple = Kha'ak)
  • ➥ Jumpdrives are included, inspired by the X Rebirth depiction, they are cyan orbs of light that will light up while in warp flight and play a looped version of the dynamo-like charging sound.
  • All ships have viewpoints roughly in the same spots as in the X3 games.
  • Ships have the their acceleration value from the X3 games boosted by the average travel mode multiplier of their size class in X4 Foundations (see below), to make interplanetary travel less tedious.
  • SpaceEngine's ship classes are co-opted to represent the size classification in XR and X⁴ Foundations, since at the moment they have no gameplay effect:
  • ➥ Probes = XS = Drones (no acceleration boost)
  • ➥ Shuttles = S = Fighters (x15 acceleration)
  • ➥ Planetships = M = Corvettes, Bombers, Freighters (x10 acceleration)
  • ➥ Starships = L and XL = Capital ships (x25 acceleration)
  • Fixed objects (stations and gates) are placed in orbit in various places so they can be easily looked at:
  • ➥ Argon, Boron, Paranid, and Teladi stations over their homeworlds (Argon Prime, Nishala, Eighth Eye, Ianamus Zura)
  • ➥ Terran shipyard over Mars and ther Terran stations and gates over Neptune
  • ➥ Xenon Station over Proxima Centauri b
  • You're free to request other X3 ships to be added in future!

@XBrain130 thanks for the fast reply. I will have a look into these programs. I see, i3dconverter is for 3d printing. my neighbor does 3d printing. perhabs he has that or similar software or I have to buy.

@DerMitDemTrollTanzt, I extracted the contents of the .cat files with DoubleShadow's "X3 Editor 2", and then use "i3DConverter" to turn the .bob models into standard formats (unfortunately, the latter is a paid program)

@XBrain130 how did you export and converted the x3 ships in the first place? I wanna do paper models of some and for blender I need them in another file format than xsp. I do not seem to find a way

@XBrain130 hey!! could you help me, i would like to know how to delete stations. I thought it was the same as deleting ships, but there's no option for it. Is there any way to delete?:s_crying:

I've been looking around online trying to find a guide on how to script stations so they remain in orbit like you've done in this mod. Do you know where I could find any examples or guides?
