This voice mod is for Rochelle.

The mod only replaces the survivor Rochelle's lines. Everything else in my video is custom mods I've installed.

I've been working on this since 2016. I never knew how hard it was to be dedicated to a project and to stick to it (this must be what game developers feel...). I finished this by 2018, but my old laptop got erased and I thought it got wiped out of existence from my external hard drive. I found this again a couple of days ago in my hard drive, and it was sneakily hiding away in a VPK file. I am forever grateful for finding my work again, even if it is three and a half years late. For those who were waiting for me to finish this and release it, thank you for being so patient.

My friend Lux ripped a few of the voice files directly from Rise of the Tomb Raider for me, back when I first started working on this, so I have him to thank for that. I had a bunch of Lara's lines from TR already. This wouldn't have been possible, if it were not for his help and encouragement on this.

I do not own the voice lines. I did edit a few and place them in a way so they fit Rochelle's voice lines, as a replacement. I made this mod for Left 4 Dead 2 only. Lara Croft is voiced by Camilla Luddington in the reboot. Tomb Raider and Lara Croft is the property of the respective owners; Crystal Dynamics, Eidos-Montréal, Feral Interactive and Nixxes Software BV etc.

Anyone who complains it doesn’t work, don’t know how to run voice mods.

@Linky you probably didn’t use GCFScape to extract the audio files from the VPK into the L4D2 directory and then done the console command :^)

@luczhang1109 it does work. The game is suppose to freeze for a while. Once the loading bar gets to a certain percentage, it is done. It would show on the console prompt in the game. After that, all you do is is force exit the game and restart it.

This doesn't work at all, even if I type snd_rebuildaudiocache into the console, the game just freezes.

thank u for making this. But it is doesn't work in my game, Rochelle's voice is still her original voice. How should I do?

Nope, you need to do some kind of file editing wizardry to get this to work... and by that I mean you need to download GCFscape I believe it was called, and manually place the sound folders into the correct survivor's sound folders, it's not complicated, it's just annoying and quite tedious, especially if you're someone like me who likes to constantly change their mod setup from time to time and perhaps uses mods like these that requires manual modding.

Is this as simple as just subscribing to the mod, enabling it and doing whatever in the console commands?
