Description
Battlehorn Castle from The Elder Scrolls: Oblivion was a good addon to that game, I liked the idea so much that I wanted to have that experience in Skyrim. Enter Shatterhorn Castle a castle designed to give that full 'I'm Lord of a Castle!' experience, with a cool mini-quest line, spam tonnes of storage space, a plethora of loyal subjects, and much more!

Features:
- Extremely large storage space throughout the castle for all your loot from Skyrim.
- You will gain a cadre of five knights at your command.
- At the end of the game, grants access to a dragon with more staying power than Odahviing.
- A Steward who can organise castle upgrades.
- A Cook, who can make great food.
- A Smith and Mage who will trade with the local town and thus trade with you.
- A Stable-Master, who will provide you with upto six more horses.
- A Garrison of twelve guards (plus one guard captain) in addition to the knights.
- And Miners to work an operational mine under the castle.

- Elsei now becomes a follower if you buy her gear from the steward.
- Updated the huntress (Elsei) AI, she now hunts during the weekdays and is in the workshop during weekends.
- Finally fixed bizarre behaviour making the entire castle population have a rave party (including the mage disco) in the north keep tower O.o
- The smith now becomes a vendor once you give him money/tools via the steward.
- The mage now becomes a vendor upon giving her husband (The Steward) the money for reagents.
- Can now buy horses from Alga once you have paid Varon for stable equipment.
- Updated stablemaster's AI
- Diversified the knights schedules
- Added ability to buy the cook some new ingredients (via the steward), and in return have him cook some awesome food.

- Added miners, and the ability to hire them (they also put their weekly takings in the chest next to the smelter)
- Added the garrison, and the ability to hire them
- Re-added the dragon (friendly) you get at the end of the main questline
- Fixed issue with banners in the Lord Quarters and Main Hall not changing correctly
- Fixed issue with stable equipment not appearing and also fixed the cost of the horses
- Moved the stable lean marker outside of tree
- Changed the priority of the knight captain's idle behaviour
- Fixed issues with inactive mannequins
- Fixed smith's voice
- Added Sergeant Athon, who becomes a follower once you buy him gear from the steward, also has a special ability
- Fixed issue forcing the knights follow you if you change the captain's inventory
- Made the guards wear default factional armour depending on the civil war outcome
- Added a bridge to the stream nearby
- Made the neaby road lead to the castle
- Flattened and generally made the castle courtyard fancy
- Fixed grey face bug

- Guards who get killed will now have their inventories retrieved, before they respawn, and placed in the armoury chest on the first floor.

FAQ:
Q: The mannequins are in stange poses, and/or are all over the rooms!?
A: Thats an issue with the mannequin system in the game.

Q: Why are the knights/guards wearing light armour instead of the heavy armour I gave them?
A: They are designed to use the last wearable item (per armour slot) given to them, after loading them with your loot make sure the armour you wish them to wear is the last item you add to their inventory.

Q: Where is it?
A: On the ridge north of Ivarstead, just follow the road north out of the town and you can't miss it.

- Mod only requires the base Skyrim game.

Hi everyone, I met with the Author in-person for this mod and it turns out has no intentions continuing with this mod or downloading to Nexus/Vortex in other words, moved on. However that dose not mean the mod has discontinued all it needs is a new Author, anyone willing to give this old mod an update makeover for Vortex you have permission, but I recommend submitting the old mod to JK's mod Jkrojmal HIs/Her work is amazing if you have any connections to this Author please send this old mod on my behalf.

When i bought miners for the mine, i was able to access all of the veins. The only issue i have now, is that after giving all the guards custom armor and weapons, they have reverted back to the original leather armor. I do not have the same problem with the Knights, they are wearing every piece of heavy plate i gave them. Whatever was done differently with the guards is causing them to have the same vanilla bug that affects all followers before using Follower Tweak Mods.

Seriously though, this castle is perfect, the only problem i have found is the mine. i could only access 1 in 5 of the veins. Really great mod

just finished my Shatterhorn questline, the name for key, found on the bandit leader in Lord Shatterhorn's quarters is "Shatterhorn Dungeon Key"

i started skyrim again and i got same issues again in my new world: bandit leader doesent spawn again :c

@jensx make sure you "install" Skyrim Script Extender, which is free on Steam
then after that, click "subscribe" on a mod here on Steam Workshop

Finally, and most importantly, click "play" on Skyrim Script Extender and *not* Skyrim itself, by doing so you will initiate Skyrim Script Extender, which in turn loads Skyrim

When the menu comes up, click on "Data Files", you should see files with checkboxes next to them, the mod(s) you newly subbed to will be unchecked, simply check the box then exit out, and click "Play"
