The Dark SFX (DSFX) mod brings you rich, crystal clear, and heavy bass sound effects for the game. Sounds that you would hear in a Hollywood movie. In real life, if you hear an explosion nearby, you would feel it. This is what DSFX hopes to bring you.



With these new sounds, driven by bass heavy alterations in a crystal clear formats, you too can experience the wonders of being blown up with high definition sounds. This is currently a work in progress. I will continue to improve the quality.

• Ambience Sounds - Port/HQ
  
• Animation Sounds - Impact reworked with heavy bass impact sounds
  
• Damage Sounds - Water leaking, bass tweaked explosions, fire
  
• Device Sounds - Hatch, prop, sonar, flying
  
• General Sounds - Hull creak/crush, recruit, splash, water drops (wet feeling)
  
• Gun Sounds - Flak/88 based on authentic sources, bass tweaked explosions
  
• UI Sounds - Decoration and clicking, ship upgrade, task complete, rep purchases

** I'm currently working on dark and gritty atmospheric background music, that is mood driven, deep and crystal clear (Hence, the title). Stay tuned in the coming future for it!

                                 

• Temporarily removed modded engine sounds.
  
• Restored music settings.

• Fixed ship engine noises. Should be working now.

• Improved fire (Flame) sound with added bass.
  
• Improved freighter alarm.
  
• Changed U-Boat alarm to more authentic version (Cleaned).
  
• Replaced Aircraft Engine Type A with authentic source (cleaned).
  
• Replaced Aircraft Engine Type B with authentic source (cleaned + bass).

• Updated Sonar Ping with a new version. Clean with hollow hull sound.
  
• Replaced Kitchen sound with authentic boiling stew (partial right channel) and crispy & crackling bacon (partial left channel) for the ultimate delicious surround sound.
  
• Increased harbour ambience by 10%.
  
• Lowered Seagull volume.

• Replaced my underwater sound with a more ambient version (less noisy).
  
• Replaced water drops with a better version. It has more of a wet feeling.

• Adjusted scripts for better accoustics.
  
• Deck gun is improved from authentic sources, boldened in the Hollywood style. Added unload sound at end per request (without casing).
  
• Flak is redone. Sounds taken from authentic sources, boldened, cleaned and crystal clear.
  
• Torpedo explosion redone, cleaner version with tailing water splash.
  
• UI sounds redone. Minimalist button clicking, Decorations, Task, Upgrade sounds.
  
• Hatch open/closing redone with appropriate timing.
  
• Propeller sound ranges should now be working correctly.
  
• Recruit Follower sound now is a voice (made more sense).
  
• Fixed explosion #5.
  
• Harbor Soundscape redone, cleaner with occassional distant background explosion ambience.
  
• Added better impact sound (ie, your uboat being hit).
  
• Updated medal award sound.
