Questlike | Achievement Guide

Introduction

Questlike is a minimalistic turn-based RPG with a single achievement.

Relevant information:

Game can't be started from the Steam client; launch it through its executable. Path:

Steam\steamapps\common\Questlike\questLike.exe

Warning:

There are high chances of this guide becoming obsolete pretty fast, so we highly recommend getting the achievement as soon as possible.

How to Play

The HUD:

1) These are your character stats.

• The value marked in red (SPD) is the speed of the character; keep this in mind when following the walkthrough.

2) These are the actions you can perform:

• Left click: normal attack.
  
• Right click: special ability.

3) These are your fighters. All actions are done by clicking on them.

• Red bar is related to your health points or HP.
  
• Yellow bar is related to your experience points and level progress.
  
• White bar is related to special character-related actions.

4) And lastly, opponents. There are three types of encounters:

• Enemies: Normal enemies and bosses. Get their health to 0 to defeat them.
  
• Treasure chests: These are passive enemies. You can basically use any secondary ability here such as heal or speed increase without any penalties, as long as you don't kill the chest. Killing the chest continues with the game.
  
• Campfires: Here you heal/revive your characters using rations (this procedure is completely automatized). Left clicking here will continue with the game, while right clicking will abruptly end it, retaining your actual score.

Note: Dying reduces your final score so leaving through a campfire is a smart idea if you have enough points to get into the top 10.

Reaching Top 10

Before starting, take a look at the leaderboard and check the score you must reach.

Click on START to start a new game.

Buy the bottommost characters by clicking on each icon, then resell them by clicking the X on the right side. You'll earn money this way (this is a gold duplication glitch).

Grind until you have 1400 gold. Then buy:

• "Lilith, The First Blood" (left on top row).
  
• "Mary. The Swift" (middle on bottom row). She will fight.
  
• "Esther, The Caring" (right on bottom row). She will heal.

NOTE: You must be fast during the next section. Restart if your healer (wand icon) dies early.

Start the game by clicking on the checkmark.

During the Battle:

Right click on each icon from left to right. Repeat twice.

Afterwards, spam right click on the sword icon (Mary) and the wand icon (Esther) whenever one of their white bars are fully charged. Your goal is to reach 100 SPD with Mary.
Note: Mary's turns will occur more often due to her increased speed.

Once Mary gets to 100 SPD, kill the enemy by spamming left click on her icon (sword).

Continue through the game by killing everything on your way with Mary (sword icon, use LMB) and healing your characters with Esther (wand icon, use RMB).

Make sure to rest at campfires to heal/revive your characters, but avoid pressing RMB if you want to continue. Also, take advantage of the treasure chests to heal your character with Esther.

With some luck, you'll get enough points to reach the top 10 in the leaderboard. If you have a higher score than the 10th place, leave through a campfire as soon as you encounter one.

The achievement will unlock as soon as the leaderborad is updated.
