878 Vikings

描述
878 Vikings is an area control game in which 2 - 4 players play as the invading Vikings or the English nobles who are trying to withstand the invasion. Viking players control the Norsemen Viking freemen and the fearless Viking shock troops known as Berserkers. The English control the King's Housecarls and the landholding Thegn noblemen.

Players for each side work together in order to coordinate their strategies. The English start the game controlling all of England, but then the Viking players invade from the sea to strike deep into English territory! Players decide when to end the game by calling for the Treaty of Wedmore. The team controlling the most cities by the end of that round wins the game.



Only three steps are needed to start playing.
* Build your deck of 12 cards (7 movement and 5 action cards)
* Mix the invading viking cards, get them into the B and C invasion piles
* mix the yellow peasent cards


Best experience is in a 2vs2, but 1 vs 1 can also be great fun!

Updated the workshop with the provided changes from afinati! Amazing work!

I have taken the mod and altered elements for the purpose of improving them. Listed below:

1. Moved the mod's assets over to the Kraken table for more space.
2. Provided snap points and repositioned the layout for uniformity.
3. Standardized the hands and brought them along the same horizon.
4. Reordered cards for normal and advanced play.
5. Resized elements for ease of use.
6. Named the rotation values of the dice, named some elements, and renamed incorrect elements.
7. Re-positioned units and decks for clarity.
8. Changed the lighting for better contrast.
9. Provided optional 5x units and placeholder spaces.
10. Edited the notecard to better serve setup.

Please do accept my friend request, Black, and I'll send it your way for mod updating.

I wish I had Viking Age. I recently discovered this game, but the Academy Games website has the base game out of print; when it's restocked, I'll buy them.

If someone has Viking Age to share, please speak up! I'd happily incorporate.

I do not posess the expansions myself. When I have the money, I will buy them and add them here too. If anyone has them in a digital form, I could add them too (and credit the person of course)

well i took one board from another mod its a little whitewashed but i think you could probably fix it with upping the saturation in photoshop if you want me to i could do it up all nice and send it to you

yeah, my scanner is not the best for this kind of thing ^^ If anyone could give me a high resolution board, I would be happy to include him as a contributer.
